Goldsky Resources commences its first major drilling program at Barsele
Goldsky launches a 25,000-metre drilling campaign at Barsele to test depth extensions of the deposit.

Goldsky Resources Corp. has launched its first major drilling program at its 100%-owned Barsele Gold Project in Sweden. The campaign involves 25,000 meters of diamond drilling targeting the Skiråsen, Central, and Avan zones. This marks the first large-scale drilling effort since Goldsky consolidated full ownership from Agnico Eagle in June 2026.
Three drill rigs are deployed for the operation. Two rigs are provided by Comadev, with one commencing work on Sept 16, 2026, and the second mobilizing in late September. A third rig from Arctic Drilling Company is scheduled to mobilize in October 2026. The program utilizes oriented diamond core to better understand structural and lithological controls on high-grade gold mineralization.
Drilling objectives include upgrading Inferred Mineral Resources to the Indicated category and testing depth extensions from 270 meters to 720-1,050 meters below surface. The existing Mineral Resource, published in April 2019, is currently being validated by Norda Stelo ahead of an updated resource estimate and maiden Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
Goldsky Resources Corp. (GSKR) has commenced its 25,000m drilling program, marking an operational milestone following the June 2026 acquisition closing and August 2026 metallurgical test results. The activity aligns with management’s previously stated roadmap to advance the Barsele Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), which is targeted for completion in 2027.
The company reports no new financial surprises, unexpected strategic shifts, or material changes to project economics. The current focus remains on resource expansion and confidence upgrading, standard steps for a development-stage explorer. Given the explicit work program outlined in prior corporate updates, the market likely anticipated this step, and the impact on the stock price is expected to be incremental rather than transformative.
Goldsky Resources Corp. (GSKR) is a Nordic-focused gold explorer and developer formed from the December 2025 merger of First Nordic Metals and Mawson Finland. The company’s flagship asset is the 100%-owned Barsele Gold Project, located in northern Sweden on the Gold Line greenstone belt and covering approximately 25,000 hectares.
The company’s resource base includes 7.88 Mt Indicated at 1.27 g/t Au (320,781 oz Au) and 28.75 Mt Inferred at 1.98 g/t Au (1.83 moz Au). Its portfolio also includes the 100%-owned Rajapalot (Au-Co) and Oijarvi (Au-Ag) projects in Finland, as well as the Paubäcken and Klippen projects in Sweden. Goldsky Resources Corp. aims to advance Barsele to a preliminary economic assessment or pre-feasibility study, upgrade resources at Rajapalot, and pursue critical metal recovery opportunities to leverage EU permitting advantages.
