Quantum Critical Metals Launches Advanced Mapping of Gallium, Rubidium and Other Critical Minerals at the Discovery Property in Quebec
Quantum Critical maps historical core to determine critical mineral deportment and guide future processing routes.

Quantum Critical Metals Corp. (LEAP) has launched an advanced mineral mapping program targeting nine historical drill core and surface samples from its Discovery Property in Quebec. The initiative employs laser-based mineral mapping technology from Elemission Inc. to pinpoint the specific mineral hosts and deportment of gallium, rubidium, and cesium. While standard assays quantify metal concentrations, they do not identify host minerals, a gap that is critical for processing planning.
The technical work is designed to guide geometallurgical studies and determine appropriate processing routes, such as gravity separation or flotation, without the need for new drilling. Historical exploration at the Discovery Property previously identified gallium and rubidium but lacked mineral deportment data. Next steps include reporting the findings, selecting samples for certified multi-element assays, and potentially proceeding to bench-scale flotation testing.
Additionally, the company noted that routine AGM resolutions were passed on September 14, 2026.
Quantum Critical Metals Corp. (LEAP) announced a routine, incremental step in its metallurgical evaluation program, which does not introduce new drilling, resource estimates, or financing. The focus on historical samples aligns with the company's broader strategy to optimize processing routes for critical minerals at NMX East and Discovery.
While technically positive for long-term project development, the announcement lacks the catalyst strength to drive immediate material price appreciation. The market has already priced in the company's metallurgical focus, including the 93% Ga recovery at NMX East in Nov 2025 and the UBC hydromet program in May 2026.
Quantum Critical Metals Corp. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on critical and strategic metals. Its flagship project is NMX East in Quebec, which targets rubidium, gallium, cesium, lithium, and nickel-PGE mineralization. The company also holds other assets, including the Discovery Property in Quebec, the Prophecy zinc prospect in British Columbia, and the Babine South silver project in British Columbia.
The company has secured partnerships with the University of British Columbia for hydrometallurgical testing and with Nusano for refining collaboration. Additionally, it has gained membership in the US Defence Industrial Base Consortium (DIBC) and the EU Raw Materials Mechanism. Management is actively pursuing non-dilutive funding and strategic offtake discussions in North America and Europe.
