Banyan Gold Intersects 1.05 g/t Gold over 52.8 metres and Bonanza-Grade Gold at Powerline Deposit, AurMac, Yukon, Canada
Banyan’s margin drilling confirms bulk-tonnage RIRG gold above 0.30 g/t but lacks scale to re-rate the deposit.

Banyan Gold Corp. (BYN) released 2026 diamond-drill assay results from the western portions of the Powerline Deposit at AurMac, Yukon. The company described the drilling as an effort in resource conversion, expansion, and delineation of higher-grade domains along the margins of Powerline’s near-surface higher-grade cores.
Headline intervals include AX-26-892B, which returned 1.05 g/t Au over 52.8 m, and AX-26-891, which returned 149.14 g/t Au over 0.4 m within a broader interval of 0.56 g/t Au over 169.2 m. Other highlight holes include:
- AX-26-878: 1.37 g/t Au over 11.8 m
- AX-26-873: 1.18 g/t Au over 8.3 m
- AX-26-876: 1.15 g/t Au over 13.9 m
- AX-26-895: 1.01 g/t Au over 17.2 m
The company noted that the AX-26-891 composite is materially influenced by the 0.4 m bonanza interval; excluding it, the remaining 168.8 m averages approximately 0.21 g/t Au.
Banyan Gold Corp. (BYN) is a pre-revenue development-stage explorer that reported a mineral resource on May 15, 2026, comprising 3.639 moz indicated and 4.985 moz inferred gold. The newly reported drill holes represent resource-conversion and margin-delineation results located inside or adjacent to an existing resource, rather than constituting a grassroots discovery.
The market had already re-rated the stock from roughly $0.65–0.73 in late 2025 to a 52-week high of $2.05 in early September 2026, partly driven by stronger 2026 step-out holes such as AX-26-874 and AX-26-853. These new results are in line with or modestly better than the resource grade but are materially weaker in grade-and-width substance than the recent headline step-outs. Because the holes are primarily infill and margin drilling, the correct anchor is the Milligan-grade resource grade rather than the previous headline gram-metres; against that anchor, key intervals are positive confirmations.
Expected share-price impact is modest, likely flat to slightly positive, not a 15% move.
