PTX Metals Completes Phase 1 Drilling and Exploration Program at Shining Tree Gold Project
PTX Metals advances exploration while awaiting pending assay results for its projects.

PTX Metals Inc. has completed Phase 1 of its 2026 exploration program at the Shining Tree Gold Project, located in the Timmins Gold Camp of Ontario. The phase involved six drill holes totaling 1,209 meters, which targeted historic Ronda mineralization.
Concurrently, the company conducted a soil sampling, prospecting, and mapping program across the northwestern portion of the project. This effort resulted in the collection of 321 soil samples and 59 grab samples along the Ridout-Tyrell Deformation Zone (RTDZ).
All core from the drilling program has been sampled and submitted to Activation Laboratories Ltd. for assay, with results pending. Assay results for the soil and grab samples are also pending. South Timmins Mining Corporation holds a 100% interest in the project, with PTX Metals Inc. owning 75% and Fancamp Exploration Ltd. holding the remaining 25%.
PTX Metals Inc. (PTX) released a routine operational update confirming the completion of its planned drilling and sampling program. The announcement aligns with previous reports regarding the start of the Shining Tree drill program in June 2026. No new assay data or geological interpretations were provided, meaning the market cannot yet price in any potential mineralization discovery or expansion. Given the pending nature of the results and the lack of new technical data, the immediate impact on the stock price is neutral.
PTX Metals Inc. is a Canadian exploration company focused on two primary assets in Ontario: the W2 Copper-Nickel-PGE project in the Ring of Fire region and the Shining Tree Gold project in the Timmins Gold Camp. The company recently spun off its uranium assets into a separate listed entity, Green Canada Uranium Corp. (GCUC), to sharpen focus on its core Ontario portfolio.
The W2 project has demonstrated strong metallurgical results, with locked-cycle tests showing 97% copper recovery into a 28% Cu concentrate, alongside significant palladium and gold recoveries. The Shining Tree project targets historic high-grade gold mineralization along the structurally significant Ridout-Tyrell Deformation Zone (RTDZ), with recent surface sampling returning up to 69 g/t Au.
