Cosa Announces Commencement of Summer Drilling Program at the Darby Uranium Joint Venture with Denison Mines
Denison reports grades and widths at Darby while Phoenix construction remains on track despite near-term stock headwinds.

Cosa Resources Corp. announced the commencement of its summer drilling program at the Darby Uranium Joint Venture, a project in which it holds a 70% interest and Denison Mines Corp. holds a 30% interest. The fully funded initiative will comprise up to 2,500 metres of drilling targeting the Gamma and Bravo trends. The drilling aims to follow up on structural, alteration, and uranium geochemistry anomalies identified during the winter 2026 program, specifically hole DB24-41.
The company also confirmed it is finalizing plans for a 100% partner-funded drilling program at its Aurora project, which is expected to commence shortly. Cosa reports a cash position of $16 million, which is sufficient for the summer program and follow-up activities in 2027. QA/QC protocols, assay methodology, and historical data verification processes were detailed, with samples sent to SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories.
The announcement does not alter the company's core investment thesis, which remains heavily weighted toward the Phoenix ISR mine construction and its 2028 production target.
The news was fully telegraphed by prior announcements concerning Cosa's 2026 drilling plans and does not represent a material change in guidance, production, or financial outlook. Following the release, the market reacted with a price decline from approximately $4.60 in early September to $3.98 by mid-September, suggesting investors are discounting early-stage joint venture exploration in favor of near-term Phoenix construction milestones and broader sector dynamics.
Denison Mines Corp. is a uranium development and exploration company focused on the infrastructure-rich eastern Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan. Its flagship asset is the Wheeler River Project, in which it holds a 95% effective interest, comprising the Phoenix (ISR) and Gryphon (underground) deposits. The company also holds operating assets, including a 22.5% interest in the McClean Lake Mill & Mines, which includes toll milling for Cigar Lake and SABRE mining at McClean North.
Other interests include a 25.17% stake in the Midwest Project and a 70.55% interest in the Waterbury Lake Project. Additionally, Denison holds strategic interests via Joint Canada Uranium (JCU) in Millennium and Kiggavik. The company maintains strategic joint ventures with Cosa Resources, Skyharbour Resources, Foremost Clean Energy, and F3 Uranium.
