Hercules Metals Identifies Evidence for a New Porphyry Center at the Hook Target
Hercules reports hook edge-hole alteration at its C$500 million project, with assays pending and no grade to re-rate.

Hercules Metals Corp. drilled HER-26-03, a reconnaissance hole located approximately 400 meters west of the newly identified Hook chargeability anomaly and accessible from the nearest existing road. The hole was not designed to test the high-chargeability core but rather to seek distal porphyry-style alteration and vectoring information.
Visual logging reported phyllic quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration containing 5-10% pyrite and porphyry-style D-veins. The company also noted distal skarn with semi-massive pyrite replacement at depths of 500-545 meters, as well as intense quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration at 597-614 meters and 683-707 meters. Assays are pending, and the company stated the hole is unlikely to return significant copper-molybdenum intercepts because it is distal to the interpreted porphyry center.
The next step involves permitting temporary access roads and drill pads to test the core of the 1.8 km Hook IP anomaly, with follow-up drilling targeted to commence in 2027.
In a corporate update, Hercules Metals cancelled 20,500,000 stock options. This included 18,650,000 from the July 30, 2026 management grant, which were cancelled at the request of the TSXV, and 1,850,000 from the August 7, 2026 grant, which were cancelled by company election.
Hercules Metals Corp. (BIG) is a pre-resource explorer with no revenue and no mineral reserves, with its project serving as the company’s only real asset. The company’s market capitalization has re-rated dramatically from approximately C$0.56-0.59 in early July to C$1.48 on September 11. This increase was driven mainly by the incoming Arizona Sonoran management team and the broader Leviathan story.
Hook was already announced as a high-priority target prior to this release, meaning the market has already partially paid for district optionality. The current release does not change the known Leviathan resource, does not add a new assay-backed intercept, and does not de-risk Hook economically; it represents only an encouraging alteration vector.
The option cancellation technically reduces overhang, but the company states it is considering alternative compensation, leaving the net dilution outcome unresolved.
Hercules Metals Corp. (BIG) is a junior explorer advancing its 100%-owned Hercules property in western Idaho. The company’s main asset is the Leviathan porphyry copper-molybdenum-silver discovery, which sits near significant nearby targets including Southern Flats, Pegasus, and Hook. Hercules currently holds no mineral resource or reserve, has no production, and generates no revenue.
Notable shareholders include Barrick Mining Corp. The incoming management team previously led Arizona Sonoran Copper Company to a sale to Hudbay. Prior-period financials show C$8.09M in cash at March 31, 2026. This position was subsequently strengthened by a C$31.5M bought deal in May 2026 and a C$4.5M private placement in August 2026.
