Capitan Silver Intersects High-Grade Silver Equivalent Mineralization at All Priority Target Areas

Capitan Silver Corp. (CAPT) has released assay results from 35 drill holes within the 60,000-meter 2026 Cruz de Plata program located in Durango, Mexico. The company reports that the drilled strike length of the Jesus Maria Silver Trend now extends 2.8 kilometers. The release indicates the discovery of two new high-grade silver zones at depth east of the Peñoles Fault in Target Area B.
Headline intercepts from the program include:
- 26-ERRC-63: 848.0 g/t AgEq over 1.5 m within 29.0 m of 181.4 g/t AgEq; lower zone 429.9 g/t AgEq over 1.5 m within 3.0 m of 340.5 g/t AgEq.
- 26-SRRC-32: 889.9 g/t AgEq over 1.5 m within 27.4 m of 142.4 g/t AgEq; lower zone 12.2 m of 63.6 g/t AgEq.
- 26-JMDD-09: 1,363.1 g/t AgEq over 1.1 m within 3.1 m of 731.3 g/t AgEq; middle and lower zones also reported.
- 26-ERDD-14: 1,123.6 g/t AgEq over 1.0 m and 597.2 g/t AgEq over 1.1 m within 6.0 m of 125.3 g/t AgEq.
- 26-JMDD-06: 368.9 g/t AgEq over 4.3 m within 18.1 m of 159.2 g/t AgEq.
Assays remain pending for 78 additional holes, comprising 31 core and 47 reverse circulation (RC) samples. Four drilling rigs are currently operating at the site, with the RC rig having moved to double shifts. A pilot televiewer survey has also commenced.
Capitan Silver Corp. (CAPT) is a pre-resource silver-gold explorer that is not yet a producer or developer. The company currently holds a pit-constrained inferred resource at Capitan Hill of 525,000 oz Au and 4.24 moz Ag, though the silver vein trend itself does not yet have a disclosed silver resource.
New results are geologically encouraging and confirm that high-grade silver extends over 2.8 km and to depth. However, against the stock price and market capitalization, this release serves as incremental confirmation rather than a transformative new discovery. The market has already seen multiple bonanza-grade silver holes from this program, so the current release does not materially reset expectations. The equity is not at the micro-cap level where a single drill hole can re-rate the stock; at C$263 million, the market is already paying for district-scale optionality.
The shares are near C$2.04, below the 52-week high of C$2.55 but above the July 2026 low of C$1.65. The balance sheet is strong for the stage, with C$21.8 million cash at June 30, 2026, no debt, and working capital of C$21.7 million. This result is positive but likely to be absorbed as routine high-grade news flow rather than a 15%+ price catalyst.
Capitan Silver Corp. is a Canadian-listed explorer on the TSX Venture Exchange, with its flagship asset being the Cruz de Plata silver-gold project in Durango, Mexico. The deposit is characterized as an intermediate-sulphidation epithermal silver-gold-lead-zinc vein and breccia system. The Jesus Maria Silver Trend has now been drilled over 2.8 km of strike, while the broader conceptual mineralized system includes over 20 km of cumulative vein structures.
Current inferred resources indicate that the Capitan Hill oxide gold deposit contains 525,000 oz Au and 4.24 moz Ag in 39.8 Mt at 0.41 g/t Au and 3.3 g/t Ag. While the silver vein system has historical high-grade production from Jesus Maria, San Rafael and El Refugio, there is no current silver resource.
The company’s 2026 program is 60,000 m, the largest in company history, with four rigs operating. Capitan Silver raised approximately C$29 million in late 2025 and early 2026. Cash at June 30, 2026 was C$21.8 million, with no debt. Shares outstanding: 128,724,521.
