Perseverance Metals Discovers a Ni-Cu Sulphide-Bearing Mafic-Ultramafic Intrusion at the Voyageur Project, Michigan
Perseverence’s Voyageur project confirms an Eagle-style intrusion target, though laboratory assay grades are not yet available.

Perseverance Metals Inc. (PMI) has released the first drilling results from the Osprey target at its Voyageur project in Michigan. Four diamond drill holes were used to test a blind geophysical target, with three of those holes intersecting a mafic-ultramafic intrusion.
The intrusion is documented at up to 50 metres thick and consists of three phases, including a basal coarse-grained peridotite that locally contains an estimated 3-8% magmatic sulphides. These sulphides are described as interstitial chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite blebs and globules, with possible pentlandite to be confirmed by petrography. Portable XRF data suggest the sulphides are nickel- and copper-bearing, though the release explicitly states that pXRF is only qualitative to semi-quantitative.
No laboratory assay grades are reported. No drill hole IDs, from/to intervals, true widths, cutoffs, or composited intervals are provided. Assay results, whole-rock geochemistry and petrography are pending.
The rig has moved to Target 2. Follow-up at Osprey includes borehole EM, ground geophysics, geochemistry, petrography and further drilling.
Perseverance Metals Inc. (PMI) is a pre-resource grassroots explorer with no revenue and a micro-cap valuation, where exploration results serve as the primary source of equity value. The company has launched its inaugural Voyageur drill program, a genuinely new event for the project. The first target tested has validated the geological model by intersecting the intended intrusion with Ni-Cu-bearing magmatic sulphides.
However, the release provides no grade, no true width, no continuity of massive sulphide, and no metallurgical or resource implication. It is a necessary early step, not a discovery of economic mineralisation. The share price is near the 52-week low at C$0.48, down from C$1.20 in early March 2026. The market is not pricing in a major Voyageur success.
Until then, this is an encouraging but sub-material validation event.
Perseverance Metals Inc. (TSXV: PMI) is a micro-cap critical minerals explorer with assets in Quebec, Michigan, and Ontario. Its portfolio includes the Lac Gayot project in Quebec, which hosts Ni-Cu-Co-PGE and lithium mineralization across the Venus East trend and the Baseline and Nasique zones. In Michigan, the company holds an option to earn 100% interest in the Voyageur property, covering approximately 690 km2 in the Upper Peninsula, located about 65 km west of the Eagle mine. Additionally, Perseverance Metals holds the Armit Lake project in Ontario, which contains Ni-Cu-Co and gold deposits.
According to an investor presentation dated March 2026, the company had 38,609,710 shares outstanding and 55,294,359 fully diluted shares. The capital structure included 2,780,000 options with a weighted average strike price of C$0.60 and 13,904,649 warrants with a weighted average strike price of C$0.91. Major shareholders at that time included Teck Resources, Osisko/EEM, Altius, and Bitterroot.
Financial data for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, showed no revenue and a net loss of C$3,421,930. At that date, the company reported C$1,720,657 in cash, C$10,463,167 in total assets, and C$7,303,191 in total equity. Perseverance Metals subsequently raised approximately C$8.2 million in early 2026, meaning the September 2025 cash position does not reflect current liquidity.
