Kirkland Lake Discoveries Hits 25.85 g/t Au over 3.00 m at Mirado Fault Zone

Kirkland Lake Discoveries identified a narrow, high-grade step-out on the Deep Mirado Fault, though the single-hole intercept likely remains priced into the stock.

Executive Summary

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. (KLDC) released results for one additional assayed hole, KLM26-030, from the North Zone / Mirado Fault area of the Mirado deposit. The hole returned 7.24 g/t Au over 11.10 m from 353.00 m downhole, including 25.85 g/t Au over 3.00 m from 359.00 m.

The company also reported multiple shallow to intermediate North Zone intervals, mostly low grade: * 0.24–0.54 g/t Au over 0.45–24.0 m * 0.89 g/t over 7.40 m * 1.19 g/t over 3.55 m

The release highlighted prior Mirado West hole KLM26-035, which returned 36.72 g/t Au over 1.01 m from 174.49 m. Additionally, KLM26-047 at Mirado West is reported as a visual alteration intercept from 369–378 m with disseminated/semi-massive pyrite; assays are pending.

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. states KLM26-030 is the northernmost hole to date, extends North Zone stacked mineralization 125 m, and extends the Mirado Fault high-grade strike continuity about 180 m from KLM26-006.

21 holes remain pending: * 8 Mirado North/South * 7 Mirado West * 6 regional targets

Material Impact

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. (KLDC) is a pre-resource explorer with no current NI 43-101 mineral resource and no reserves. The Mirado historical resource of 10.6 Mt at 1.29 g/t for about 442 koz is historical only and not yet verified as current.

The company’s latest release marks a genuine positive step-out on a specific deep fault structure, improving the grade and width picture for the Mirado Fault relative to KLM26-006. Against the direct same-zone anchor, KLM26-006’s 2.46 g/t over 14.70 m was about 36.2 g-m. KLM26-030’s 7.24 g/t over 11.10 m is about 2.2x that in gram-metres and has a much stronger high-grade core.

However, the wider Mirado system has already produced higher-grade and higher gram-metre holes, and the stock has already re-rated substantially from its March 2026 low. Recent price action shows the market moved from about $0.30 on 1 Sep 2026 to $0.35 on 2 Sep, then $0.42–0.43 on 3–4 Sep, before settling at $0.41 on 8 Sep. That suggests the market has already paid up for the broader Mirado/Mirado West expansion narrative.

Company Overview

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. is a junior gold explorer operating within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Ontario, where it has assembled a land package spanning approximately 420 km² across the KL South, KL West, and KL East areas. The company’s flagship Mirado project, located at KL South, is a past-producing orogenic gold target that holds a historical inferred resource of 10.6 Mt at 1.29 g/t Au, equating to roughly 442 koz of gold, though it currently lacks a defined resource. Exploration at KL West is focused on intrusion-related gold and polymetallic VMS-style copper-zinc-silver systems.

According to the company’s investor presentation, the capital structure consists of approximately 205.6 million shares outstanding, 15.7 million options, and 27.0 million warrants. As of 30 Jun 2026, the company held about $4.2 million in cash. Notable holders include Orecap Invest, New Found Gold, EarthLabs, Rob McEwen, and Eric Sprott. The balance sheet reflects the typical profile of a junior explorer, characterized by no revenue, negative operating cash flow, and a reliance on equity financing.
