Peruvian Metals on Track for Full Production for 2026 at the Aguila Norte Processing Plant and Reports Positive Sample Results from the Tailings Area
Peruvian confirms toll-mill capacity, though tailings upside remains permit-bound and unproven.

Peruvian Metals Corp. (PER) reported that its 80%-owned Aguila Norte plant processed 6,046 metric tonnes of material in July and August 2026. The facility maintained full production capacity for 28 of the last 29 months, with no production impact resulting from maintenance conducted between April and July.
Tailings sampling returned grades of 2.4 g/t Au and 90 g/t Ag, while metallurgical tests indicated recovery rates of 93% for gold and 87% for silver. The company requires a permit modification to design a tailings reprocessing circuit and will submit a detailed report to the Peruvian Ministry of Mines in the fourth quarter of 2026. Additionally, management is preparing the Palta Dorada and Mercedes underground sites for bulk sample extraction.
No new financial results, production guidance changes, or capital allocation updates were disclosed.
Peruvian Metals Corp. (PER) issued an operations update confirming expected capacity maintenance and introducing a speculative tailings reprocessing opportunity. The update is not an earnings release.
Sampling results for the tailings are positive, but the company notes that permit modifications and detailed engineering are required before any revenue can be realized. Consequently, this development is not considered an immediate catalyst.
The stock has declined approximately 43% from its May 2026 peak, a move that prices in the lack of near-term commercial production.
The news aligns with prior guidance and does not alter the company’s financial outlook or capital allocation strategy.
Peruvian Metals Corp. operates the 80%-owned Aguila Norte processing plant in northern Peru, which currently runs at a 100 tpd capacity with an environmental permit allowing expansion to 350 tpd. The company owns 100% of the Palta Dorada Au-Ag-Cu property, covering approximately 2,250 hectares, and holds a 50% interest in the Mercedes Au-Ag property, spanning roughly 1,345 hectares. Its business model relies on toll milling third-party ore, advancing exploration projects, and generating new properties. Management has over 30 years of experience in Peru, but the company lacks proven reserves and a commercial production history.
