Sun Peak Drills 39.0 Metres of 1.38% Copper and 0.84% Zinc and 19.42 Metres of 1.17% Copper, 2.59% Zinc and 22.35 G/T Silver at Safra Vms Project, Saudi Arabia

Sun Peak reported broad copper-zinc-silver intersections across multiple holes at the Safra VMS deposit, with results remaining open down-dip.

Executive Summary

Sun Peak Metals Corp. (PEAK) has released the first assay results from its maiden diamond drill program at the 100%-owned Safra VMS project in Saudi Arabia. The initial 1,242-metre campaign consisted of ten holes, with seven targeting the Safra Main zone and three testing the Safra South area. All seven holes at Safra Main returned mineralized intervals, while at Safra South, two holes showed no significant intercepts and one returned 2.30 m at 0.20% Cu and 0.02% Zn.

Key highlighted intercepts from the program include:

  • SAF26DD008: 39.0 m averaging 1.38% Cu and 0.84% Zn from 49.0 m, including 17.75 m at 1.60% Cu and 1.58% Zn.
  • SAF26DD005: 19.42 m averaging 1.17% Cu, 2.59% Zn and 22.35 g/t Ag, including 3.0 m at 3.08% Cu, 11.72% Zn and 57.25 g/t Ag.
  • SAF26DD005 second interval: 13.0 m averaging 0.49% Cu, 1.77% Zn, 1.64% Pb, 69.17 g/t Ag and 0.61 g/t Au, including 6.0 m at 0.96% Cu, 3.35% Zn, 3.15% Pb, 127.43 g/t Ag and 1.02 g/t Au.
  • SAF26DD001: 8.85 m averaging 1.32% Cu and 6.51% Zn.
  • SAF26DD010: 6.0 m averaging 2.86% Cu and 5.70% Zn.
  • SAF26DD003: 6.80 m averaging 0.48% Cu, 3.19% Zn, 34.81 g/t Ag and 1.33 g/t Au.
  • SAF26DD006: 17.47 m averaging 0.21% Cu, 2.99% Zn and 1.61% Pb.
  • SAF26DD002: 5.50 m averaging 0.37% Cu, 2.07% Zn, 0.63 g/t Au and 50.92 g/t Ag.

The company states that mineralization remains open along strike and at depth, with untested gravity anomalies identified at Safra North and Safra East.

Material Impact

Sun Peak Metals Corp. (PEAK) is a grassroots explorer with a market capitalization near C$65.7 million. The company currently holds no resource, mine plan, or metallurgical data. The latest drilling provides the first hard evidence that the Safra surface system extends at depth with broad copper-zinc-silver mineralization across multiple holes.

Prior to this release, there were no embedded Safra drill results to anchor market expectations. The stock rose from C$0.21 in September 2025 to C$0.55 in January 2026 following the Saudi acquisition and surface sampling, before drifting back to C$0.40 by early September 2026. The market had been waiting on these initial assays, which had not already been priced into the share price as a specific drill-defined intercept.

The results do not constitute a tier-one world-class intercept. True widths remain unknown, Safra South step-outs were largely blank, and the drilled extent is shallow. No resource can be inferred from the data, meaning the results do not transform the company’s net asset value. However, the findings materially de-risk the Safra discovery thesis and support continued drilling and improved financing access.
