FinEx Metals Announces Completion of the Phase I Drilling and Sampling Campaign at its 100%-owned Kero Gold Project, Finland

(via TheNewswire) Vancouver, British Columbia, September 3, 2026 – TheNewswire - FinEx Metals Ltd. (TSX-V: FINX) (“FinEx” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the completion of a diamond drill program and Top-of-Bedrock and Bottom-of-Till (ToB/BoT) sampling campaign at its 100%-owned, royalty-free Kero gold project (“Kero” or the “Project”) in northern Finland. Kero is located approximately 15 km southeast of Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä gold mine, Europe’s largest primary gold mine and 20 km northwest of the multi-million-ounce Ikkari gold deposit, now owned by Agnico Eagle following its acquisition of Rupert Resources Ltd. Highlights: Drilling Completed at Kero:  A total of 2,001 metres of diamond core drilling was completed across 10 holes at Target A and Target C. These targets were described in detail in the FinEx news release dated July 22, 2026.   Drill core is currently being logged with samples to be sent to ALS Laboratories for analyses.  Top-of-Bedrock / Bottom-of-Till Sampling: A total of 694 bedrock and soil samples were collected across three priority targets within the northern part of the Kero licence area with the objective to define new drill targets.  District-Scale Setting: Kero is strategically located in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, between Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä mine and the Ikkari deposit, two major gold systems in one of Europe’s most important gold districts.    Tero Kosonen, Chairman and CEO of FinEx, states: “We are pleased to successfully complete our Phase I program at Kero, highlighted by 2,001 metres of diamond drilling and 694 bedrock and till samples collected. This work strengthens our footprint in one of Europe's most exciting gold districts and positions us well for future programs. I want to thank our Finnish field team and our service providers for the outstanding work carried out on this summer's drilling program. The program was completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, reflecting the professionalism and technical expertise of everyone involved.”    Click Image To View Full Size Figure 1. Diamond drilling on Kero project. Kero Exploration Program: Diamond drilling – 2,001 metres completed The diamond drilling program was comprised of ten drill holes totalling 2,001 metres from two priority targets (A and C, Figure 2). The holes tested continuations of historical gold intersections and geophysical-structural exploration targets previously described in the Company’s news release dated July 22, 2026. Target Area A: Six drill holes totalling 1,114 metres and ranging between 120 and 251 metres in length were completed to follow-up and expand the historical mineralization discovered by the Geological Survey of Finland (“GTK”). Following reinterpretation of historical geological data, FinEx applied different azimuths to the drill holes to better constrain and test the prospective zone at depth and along strike. Hydrothermally altered volcanic rocks, intercalated with sulfidic graphitic shales, cherts and orogenic quartz veins were intersected within the target.   Historical GTK results include trenching which returned 6.2 m grading 7.5 g/t Au, and historical drill hole M372105R402 which returned 9.05 m grading 1.95 g/t Au from 142.5 m downhole, including 1.05 m grading 12.6 g/t Au (Figure 3). Target Area C: Target C is located approximately 1,000 metres south from Target A and is a prominent structural break in the bedrock as interpreted from magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical data. FinEx tested Target C with four drill holes broadly perpendicular to the structure (Figure 2). Deeply weathered, sheared and hydrothermally altered bedrock was identified in all three drill holes KER26D005, 006 and 007. Drill hole KER26D008 tested the same WSW trending magnetic break from another angle. Altogether, 887 metres of diamond drilling was completed on Target C.    Bedrock and Bottom-of-Till Drilling – 694 samples collected As the Kero project area is almost entirely covered by 2 to 5 metres of glacial till, reaching up to 13 metres in places, a shallow top-of-bedrock and bottom-of-till drilling program was carried out over areas considered prospective for orogenic gold.  A total of 694 samples were collected. Bedrock and till samples were collected at 30-metre intervals along 150 metre spaced sample lines across targets in the northern part of the Kero licence area. Drilling was carried out using a Base-of-Till drilling rig, which collects in situ samples from the interface between the glacial till and the underlying bedrock. Samples were collected in pairs at each sampling point, comprising a bedrock sample and a till sample taken 0.5–1.0 metre above the bedrock. The deeper bedrock samples provide direct lithological information, while the shallower till samples provide information on broader geochemical anomalies in gold and associated pathfinder elements.
