Kutcho Copper Announces Claims Purchase
Kutcho Copper acquires adjacent claims for $52.5k in shares, consolidating its project footprint.

Kutcho Copper Corp. announced the acquisition of two mineral claims totaling approximately 68 hectares located near its feasibility-stage Kutcho Project in Northwest British Columbia. The transaction involves the issuance of 150,000 common shares to two arms' length prospectors, valued at a deemed price of $0.35 per share, totaling approximately $52,500. The share issuance is subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day. The Purchase Agreement and share issuance remain subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV). This acquisition consolidates the project footprint ahead of the company's active 2026 drill program, which commenced in July 2026 targeting the Hamburger, Gap, and Esso West zones.
Kutcho Copper Corp. (KC) acquired the property for $52,500, a sum that is financially immaterial relative to the company’s $3.98 million cash balance and approximately $62.8 million market capitalization. The transaction resulted in negligible dilution, representing approximately 0.08% of the ~184.6 million shares outstanding.
The deal aligns with standard junior explorer practices of securing contiguous land to protect and expand the project corridor. It does not alter the company's financial outlook, drilling schedule, or feasibility study economics. The news is expected and incremental, serving as a routine land consolidation step rather than a market-moving event.
Kutcho Copper Corp. is advancing the Kutcho copper-zinc-gold-silver project in Northwest British Columbia. The project is currently at the feasibility stage, with a December 2021 NI 43-101 study reporting an after-tax NPV (7%) ranging from C$536M to C$1.14B and an IRR up to 53.4%, depending on copper price assumptions. A strategic deferral of underground mining reduces initial capital by approximately US$57M and shifts the underground start to Year 1, increasing ore throughput to 930 tpd.
The company’s current resource base stands at 22.8 Mt Measured & Indicated @ 2.26% CuEq and 13 Mt Inferred @ 1.62% CuEq. Kutcho Copper Corp.’s primary strategic initiative is to double the current resource size through a targeted 2026 exploration program testing high-priority VMS targets.
