Engineer Gold Mines Drill Core Sampling Underway at TAG

Engineer re-samples old core at its project, with no new assays or drill proof yet available.

Executive Summary

Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (EAU) announced a new infill diamond drill core sampling program at its TAG property, which is part of the 100%-owned Engineer Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia. The initiative involves re-sampling historical drill core rather than reporting new drilling. The company reviewed 69 historical CZM Capital diamond drill holes totaling 11,524 metres drilled from 2006-2008 along the 025FZ and HW structures.

Thirty-five holes were selected for sampling across 258 intervals. To date, 16 holes have been reviewed and 330 core samples laid out and tagged. Samples will be shipped to MSA Labs in Prince George, BC, for photon assaying. The goal is to fill unsampled intervals, model the drilling data, generate 2027 drill targets, and support a future TAG resource estimate. No new assay results, no new drill holes, no updated resource estimate, and no confirmation of historical grades are reported.

The release reprints ten historical 2006-2008 intercepts, including:

  • TAG06-02: 20.7 m at 1.79 g/t Au and 9.13 g/t Ag from 32.6 m, including 8.9 m at 3.16 g/t Au
  • TAG06-03: 20.65 m at 1.90 g/t Au and 9.76 g/t Ag, including 13.85 m at 2.58 g/t Au and 3.9 m at 4.71 g/t Au
  • TAG06-07: 39.55 m at 1.03 g/t Au
  • TAG06-17: 23.1 m at 1.59 g/t Au, including 6.3 m at 2.49 g/t Au
  • TAG06-23: 26.7 m at 1.72 g/t Au, including 4.7 m at 3.52 g/t Au
  • TAG07-29: 35.0 m at 1.33 g/t Au, including 4.0 m at 2.97 g/t Au
  • TAG08-51: 25.2 m at 1.73 g/t Au, including 3.3 m at 2.91 g/t Au
  • TAG08-59: 42.1 m at 1.50 g/t Au, including 9.2 m at 2.39 g/t Au
  • TAG08-60: 29.7 m at 1.84 g/t Au, including 15.7 m at 2.97 g/t Au and 1.1 m at 5.12 g/t Au
  • TAG08-61: 25.9 m at 1.58 g/t Au, including 3.7 m at 3.29 g/t Au
Material Impact

Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (EAU) released information regarding the sampling of historical drill core, a move that does not introduce new drill assays, discoveries, step-out results, or updated resource estimates. For a pre-resource explorer with a market capitalization near C$2.6 million, exploration progress is typically relevant; however, this release only confirms the processing of existing core. The historical data referenced has already been disclosed in prior company communications, including the planning update on 2026-04-29 and the exploration update on 2026-07-28.

The company’s stock has declined from C$0.19 in February 2026 to C$0.10. This drop reflects earlier speculative interest and financing pressure rather than a reaction to a recent discovery hole, as the current release does not match such a finding. The company is not generating revenue and reported negative net income in the periods provided. Cash stood at only C$21 on the most recent prior-period balance sheet. An ongoing private placement at C$0.15 per unit, priced above the current C$0.10 market price, introduces execution and dilution risk. While the release maintains the exploration narrative, it does not provide a fundamental catalyst.

Company Overview

Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. (EAU) is a junior gold-silver explorer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Its Engineer Gold Project encompasses approximately 18,319 hectares in the Atlin district of northwestern British Columbia.

The company’s main assets include the Engineer Gold Mine, a past-producing underground operation that yielded approximately 14,263 tonnes grading 39.4 g/t Au and 19.5 g/t Ag between 1910 and 1952. Historical data indicates an inferred resource of approximately 25,000 ounces of gold at about 19 g/t Au.

The TAG Property is located 6 km north of the Engineer Mine, featuring a 6 km structural trend along the 025FZ and HW structures. A release dated April 29, 2026, cited a historical TAG resource comprising 250,000 tonnes indicated at 2.97 g/t Au and 400,000 tonnes inferred at 2.98 g/t Au.

The Wann River prospect, an orogenic gold target situated 4 km south of the Engineer Mine, has produced historical grab samples up to 263 g/t Au and 1,350 g/t Ag, alongside narrow high-grade drill hits. Infrastructure described in a prior investor presentation includes a small 30 tpd gravity mill and underground development.

The company remains pre-resource under current NI 43-101 standards and is dependent on exploration success and financing.
