J2 Metals Samples up to 1,030 g/t Silver at Sierra Plata; Identifies Seven Veins and Advances Toward Trenching and Drilling
J2’s Sierra Plata project confirms high-grade veins while trenching and drilling permits advance as expected.

J2 Metals Inc. (JTWO) has released an exploration update regarding its Sierra Plata silver-gold-antimony project in Mexico. The company has completed systematic geological mapping and rock sampling across approximately 50% of the property, identifying seven veins and locating 20 historical mine workings.
Rock sampling results have included high-grade silver returns, such as a dump sample assaying 1,030 g/t Ag and channel samples reaching up to 941 g/t Ag over 0.7m. J2 Metals is now proceeding with a first-ever trenching program on priority veins and is advancing the application for a maiden diamond drill permit. Additionally, the company’s drone magnetic survey is approximately 50% complete.
In corporate developments, J2 Metals granted 1,775,000 stock options and 900,000 Restricted Share Units (RSUs) to directors, officers, and consultants. The options are exercisable at C$0.15 per share for five years with a staggered vesting schedule.
J2 Metals Inc. (JTWO) announced news consistent with its previously communicated exploration plan, following directly from the February 2026 high-grade grab sample results and the July 2026 drone survey mobilization. The identification of seven veins and high-grade channel samples validates the epithermal system but remains within the standard exploration phase, representing incremental, expected progress rather than a fundamental shift in the company's outlook.
Regarding corporate actions, the company implemented standard retention mechanisms involving stock options and RSUs, which add to future dilution. No material change to the capital structure or immediate financing needs is indicated, as the company holds approximately $3.9M in cash and working capital.
J2 Metals Inc. (JTWO) is an exploration-stage company focused on precious and critical metals. Its flagship project is Sierra Plata, a 2,203-hectare property located in the Zacualpan-Taxco district of Guerrero, Mexico, which targets silver, gold, and antimony. The company also holds other projects, including the Miniac polymetallic VMS/gold project in Quebec and the Napoleon gold project in Alaska.
Sierra Plata hosts five past-producing high-grade epithermal mines. Recent work on the property has included mapping, sampling, and geophysics ahead of a maiden drill program. Additionally, the company completed the spin-out of its Twenty Mile Metals subsidiary in April 2026.
