Pacific Empire Announces Commencement of 2026 Diamond Drill Program at Trident and Pinnacle

Pacific Empire begins 2026 Trident drilling to target an expanded IP anomaly and Pinnacle follow-up.

Executive Summary

Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. has announced the start of its 2026 diamond drill program at its flagship Trident copper-gold project and the adjacent Pinnacle property in north-central British Columbia. Managed by Equity Exploration Consultants Ltd., the program will initially target the Trident Main Zone to follow up on 2025 drill results from holes DD25-TRI-001, 005, and 006.

Following work in the Main Zone, drilling will shift to the eastern portion of Trident to test a newly identified, significantly larger anomalous chargeability area. This target is based on 2026 ground-based IP surveys that expanded on 2014 findings. After completing work at Trident, the program will move to Pinnacle to test targets identified from a June 2026 airborne magnetic survey and the Pinnacle South target.

Pre-drilling work for the 2026 season included two ground-based IP lines at Trident, an airborne magnetic survey at northern Pinnacle, and comprehensive reviews of historical drill core and exploration data. The technical information was reviewed and approved by Qualified Person Ron Voordouw, P.Geo., Ph.D.

Material Impact

Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. (PEMC) announced a development consistent with its previously stated exploration timeline. The news follows the successful closing of a $1.58 million non-brokered private placement on August 4, 2026, which explicitly funded the company’s 2026 drill campaign. This progression aligns with management’s stated timeline from the January 2026 year-end update and the June 2026 mobilization announcement.

The company’s focus on following up on 2025 results and testing a newly expanded IP anomaly is consistent with standard exploration methodology. The market has already priced in the drilling commencement and the associated financing. Dilution from the August financing has already occurred, and the commencement of drilling does not alter the capital structure or immediate liquidity position.

Company Overview

Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. (TSX-V: PEMC) is a Vancouver-based exploration company focused on gold-enriched copper porphyry systems in British Columbia. The company holds a consolidated 22,541-hectare land position, primarily comprising the 6,765-hectare Trident property and the 15,929-hectare Pinnacle property. Ownership is 100% with no underlying property obligations. Trident carries a 2% NSR royalty, with 50% redeemable for $500,000.

The geological setting is characterized by Jurassic sinistral transpression, shoshonitic magmatism, and potassic/silicic alteration, typical of fertile porphyry environments. Historical drilling by operators like Falconbridge and OZ Minerals identified copper-gold mineralization, but the northern porphyry and breccia targets remained untested until 2025 due to access constraints. The 2025 program successfully drilled 2,602 metres across six holes, intersecting broad near-surface mineralization, including:

  • 240 metres grading 0.93% CuEq in hole DD25-TRI-001
