Wolfden Announces Positive Precious Metal Results at Canoe Landing
Wolfden’s bio-oxidation process doubles gold recovery at its Canoe Landing project, adding $36 per tonne to the project’s economics.

Wolfden Resources Corporation (WLF) announced proof-of-concept metallurgical testing results for its Canoe Landing VMS deposit in New Brunswick. The testing, conducted with the Research and Productivity Council of New Brunswick (RPC) using 40kg of historical drill core, demonstrated that bio-oxidation post-flotation treatment increased gold recovery from 32% to 60%.
This treatment adds approximately $36/tonne in revenue at current spot prices, raising the potential recoverable metal value to $216/tonne. The company plans to collect fresh drill core samples to verify base metal flotation circuits and test alternative technologies like Albion and optimized roasting.
Wolfden Resources Corporation (WLF) issued a positive follow-up to its metallurgical program, which was initiated in February 2026. The update confirms the viability of a lower-cost, lower-emission processing route using bio-oxidation, compared to traditional roasting or pressure oxidation methods. This approach yields a $36/tonne uplift, an incremental gain expected within the scope of the announced work program.
The company reported a comprehensive loss of $737,452 for the first half of 2026, driven by exploration spend. While the metallurgical results improve the project's potential economics, they do not change the fundamental resource size or trigger an immediate economic study. Given the prior announcement, the market likely anticipated some positive outcomes, making this a routine update rather than a market-moving surprise.
