Conquest Resources Samples 15.31 g/t Gold over 3.00 M at Smith Lake
Conquest’s Smith Lake channel samples returned 15.31 g/t Au, advancing Ontario gold exploration.

Conquest Resources Limited has released channel and grab sample results from the Campbell Vein at its 100% owned Smith Lake Gold Project in Ontario. The sampling program yielded 15 channel samples and 3 grab samples, with channel grades ranging from 0.03 g/t to 29.1 g/t Au. Six of the 15 channel samples returned grades greater than 1 g/t Au.
The highlighted composite result was 15.31 g/t Au over 3.00 m from Channel 5. Technical data was reviewed by P.Geo. Joerg Kleinboeck, and QA/QC protocols were followed. True widths are not yet determined.
The company plans a 500-sample B-horizon geochemical survey in fall 2026 targeting east-west structures north-northeast of the Smith Lake Gold Zone.
Conquest Resources Limited (CQR) has announced incremental exploration progress on its Smith Lake property, confirming the presence of high-grade gold mineralization in the Campbell Vein. This finding validates historical interest in the area and supports further exploration efforts. However, the company notes that the channel and grab sampling conducted are surface and trench-level activities that do not constitute a resource estimate or drill result.
The news is considered routine for a junior explorer advancing a property adjacent to a major producer, specifically Barrick's Renabie Mine. No immediate financial or operational milestone has been reached, and dilution risk remains from past financings. While the announcement is expected to have a neutral to mildly positive impact on the stock price in the short term, it is insufficient to drive a material breakout without a drill program or financing.
Conquest Resources Limited (CQR) is a Canadian junior exploration company with assets in Ontario and Finland. Its flagship Belfast-Teck Mag Project in Ontario covers 350 km² and targets magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE, VMS copper, and IOCG deposits. Phase 1 drilling is currently underway to test geophysical targets.
The company also holds the Smith Lake Gold Project in Ontario, located adjacent to Barrick's Renabie Mine, as well as the Alexander Gold Project in Red Lake and the Lake Nipigon Basin Project. In February 2026, Conquest acquired the Valimaki Gold Project in Finland through a share and cash transaction, adding a 23,197-hectare exploration reservation characterized by historic high-grade boulder samples and prior drilling. Management includes CEO Tom Obradovich, who brings extensive experience in major discoveries.
