Kobo Resources Expands Gold Mineralisation Across Multiple Structures at the Road Cut Zone Ahead of Inaugural MRE
Kobo delays its fourth quarter mineral resource estimate as incremental drilling continues ahead of the maiden resource release.

Kobo Resources Inc. has released diamond drill results from twelve additional holes at the Road Cut Zone of its 100%-owned Kossou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire. Key intercepts include 2.0 m at 21.10 g/t Au, 7.0 m at 4.16 g/t Au, and 8.0 m at 2.65 g/t Au. Mineralization remains open at depth across the Main Road Cut Shear, Artisanal Shear, and Contact Zone Fault.
Total drilling to date exceeds 47,850 m across 240 holes, with over 10,700 m completed in 2026. The company confirmed an inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) is expected in Q4 2026. Drilling is underway at the Kadie Zone, with additional results pending. QA/QC protocols returned within acceptable limits, and the technical data was reviewed by Qualified Person Paul Sarjeant, P.Geo.
The company has adjusted its MRE timeline from a general second half of 2026 target to a specific fourth quarter 2026 window. This shift represents a minor delay consistent with the pace of resource definition work for a project at this stage.
The drill intercepts are expected and incremental, confirming the existing geological model rather than introducing a new discovery or significantly altering the project's scale. Given the stock’s approximately 45% decline over the past year and the absence of a defined resource, the market has not priced these results as material. The update does not change the fundamental risk/reward profile or the immediate need for future capital.
Kobo Resources Inc. (KRI) is an exploration-stage gold company focused on the Kossou Gold Project in the Yamoussoukro District of Côte d’Ivoire. The company’s flagship asset is 100%-owned and royalty-free, situated 40 km from Yamoussoukro and 9.5 km from the operating Yaouré Gold Mine, providing potential infrastructure synergies.
The project is in the exploration phase, with multiple target zones—Jagger, Road Cut, Kadie, and Contact Zone Fault—being systematically drilled to define a maiden resource. No production, reserves, or resources have been declared to date. The company is advancing toward a maiden NI 43-101 MRE expected in Q4 2026.
