Arianne Phosphate Inc. (DAN) has selected its Lac à Paul phosphate project for Quebec's "Filon" support service, an initiative designed to streamline regulatory approvals and improve coordination between mining proponents and government ministries. This selection highlights the project's alignment with Quebec's 2025-2031 critical minerals strategy and its role in enhancing North American supply chain resilience. The project features a 39% P2O5 concentrate and is based on a feasibility study from 2013, targeting both fertilizer and LFP battery markets.
Arianne Phosphate Inc. (DAN) received a positive regulatory validation, a development that does not alter the project’s economics, capital requirements, or construction timelines. The Filon designation represents a known government mechanism for strategic projects, with market expectations for regulatory support already priced in following prior grants and permit extensions. No new offtake agreements, financing, or customer contracts were announced alongside this update.
Arianne Phosphate Inc. (DAN) is advancing the Lac à Paul project, a fully permitted, shovel-ready greenfield phosphate site in Quebec. The company’s strategic focus has shifted from pure mining to the downstream processing of purified phosphoric acid (PPA) for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and specialty applications. To support this transition, Arianne has entered into a partnership with Travertine Technologies to produce PPA using a closed-loop, waste-free process. Project economics are supported by a feasibility study conducted in 2013 and a preliminary feasibility study (PFS) released in 2024, which target a mine life of more than 25 years.
