Santacruz Silver Achieves Strong Q2 2026 Production Results, Producing 1,573,100 Ounces of Silver and 23,240 Tonnes of Zinc
Santacruz Q2 production rebounds across all assets, maintaining its recovery narrative despite recent blockades and a fatality.

Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. (SCZ) reported second-quarter 2026 production figures in a release dated July 28, 2026. The company produced 1,573,100 ounces of silver, representing a 17% increase quarter-over-quarter and an 11% increase year-over-year. Zinc output reached 23,240 tonnes, up 7% from the previous quarter and 10% from the same period last year. All four payable metals saw sequential increases.
Consolidated tonnes milled rose 7% quarter-over-quarter to 521,956 tonnes. Every operating unit increased silver output quarter-over-quarter: Bolivar +32%, Porco +43%, Caballo Blanco Group +6%, Zimapan +8%, San Lucas +20%. Management noted that over 50 days of road blockades occurred in Bolivia during the quarter, but stated that production was maintained without interruption. The release is purely operational; no cost, margin, or cash-flow figures are provided.
Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. (SCZ) released an operational update highlighting a 17% quarter-over-quarter increase in silver production and a 7% quarter-over-quarter rise in zinc output. The company also noted its ability to navigate more than 50 days of road blockades without disrupting operations.
The recovery trajectory outlined in the update was previously telegraphed in the Q1 2026 report. The stock price had declined to approximately $8.75 from over $12 in May, a move likely reflecting macro headwinds and a fatality in late June rather than a production shortfall. The Q2 figures indicate that the recovery is progressing as guided, though the release contains no new financial or cost data.
