Tinka Provides Results of Silvia NW Geophysical Survey and Outlines Copper Targets

Tinka’s Silvia NW MT survey identified two new deep copper-gold targets at its project in Peru.

Executive Summary

Tinka Resources Limited announced the results of a ground magnetotellurics (MT) survey completed in June 2026 at its 100%-owned Silvia NW copper-gold project in Peru. The 4 km² survey identified two new untested geophysical targets for skarn and porphyry mineralization: a large low-resistivity anomaly beneath Area B, extending 500m to more than 1,000m depth, and a second anomaly located 1 km to the north.

These targets complement maiden 2025 drilling at Area A, which intersected narrow copper-gold skarn mineralization. Key intercepts included 15.1m @ 0.17% Cu, 0.26 g/t Au and 23.2m @ 0.20% Cu, 0.05 g/t Au. Management interprets the drilled Area A intercepts as a low-grade copper skarn halo, with the new conductive anomalies suggesting potential for stronger mineralization at depth. Follow-up drilling at Silvia NW is being evaluated for early 2027.

At the Ayawilca zinc-silver project, progress is being made on extending social agreements with local communities, with the first expected by the end of Q3 2026. Additionally, the company entered a 12-month advertising campaign with Dig Media/INN for C$55,000.

Material Impact

Tinka Resources Limited (TK) has maintained a methodical exploration cycle from August 2025 through July 2026, progressing from securing permits and financing to commencing its maiden drilling program in October 2025. The company released initial and full drill results in January and February 2026, upgraded to the OTCQX market in March 2026, and executed planned geophysics between May and July 2026.

The July 28 MT results serve as a direct follow-up to the maiden drill program, validating the geological model and providing new drill targets. These updates do not alter the project's economic status, resource estimate, or near-term cash flow. The news aligns with previous management guidance regarding the exploration timeline and does not contain genuinely new, unexpected, or market-moving financial information.

The market typically prices in geophysical updates as part of the standard exploration cycle unless they reveal a major, immediately monetizable discovery.

Company Overview

Tinka Resources Limited is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on base and precious metals in Peru. Its flagship Ayawilca project, which hosts zinc, silver, and tin, is characterized by substantial mineral resources. A NI 43-101 preliminary economic assessment was filed in April 2024, and recent 3D modeling identified six new high-grade silver-rich veins, designated as the "Silver Zone," with channel sampling returning up to 1,431 g/t Ag.

The company also owns the Silvia copper-gold project, acquired from BHP for a 1% NSR royalty and cash. Maiden drilling in late 2025 confirmed narrow skarn mineralization, while geophysics in 2026 is targeting deeper porphyry and skarn systems.

Additional assets include the Colquipucro silver project in Peru, which is undergoing re-evaluation due to higher silver prices, and the Huwaymidan gold project in Saudi Arabia, held via a 5% carried interest in a joint venture fully funded by a local partner.
