Canada Nickel Announces Initial Mineral Resource at Nesbitt and Delivers 46% Increase in Indicated Resource at Deloro
Canada expands its district resource, confirming project scale while rising cash burn and bridge maturity necessitate future capital raises.

Canada Nickel Company Inc. (CNC) announced the completion of the initial Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Nesbitt project and an updated MRE for the Deloro project within the Timmins Nickel District. The Nesbitt project hosts an initial resource of 176 Mt at 0.23% Ni, containing 0.41 million tonnes of contained nickel.
At Deloro, Indicated Resources increased by 46% to 0.30 million tonnes of contained nickel, while Inferred Resources rose by 39% to 1.25 million tonnes of contained nickel. The combined Timmins Nickel District now reports 4.36 billion tonnes of Measured & Indicated Resources at 0.24% Ni (10.3 million tonnes of contained nickel) and 5.7 billion tonnes of Inferred Resources at 0.23% Ni (13.2 million tonnes of contained nickel).
The update is based on 10,031 metres of core drilling at Nesbitt and 21 new holes (8,468m) at Deloro. Future work includes continued mineralogical studies, metallurgical testwork, and infill drilling through 2026, targeting a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
Canada Nickel Company Inc. (CNC) reported resource expansion at its Nesbitt and Deloro properties, a development consistent with the company’s stated exploration roadmap and confirming the district-scale potential of the Timmins Nickel District. This incremental update reinforces the geological thesis but does not alter the near-term permitting timeline for the flagship Crawford project, which is already at the final stage of the federal Impact Assessment process. The news does not introduce new financing, change the capital structure, or materially impact the company's immediate cash burn or debt maturity profile.
Canada Nickel Company Inc. (CNC) is a Canadian mining developer focused on the Timmins Nickel District in Ontario. The project targets nickel, cobalt, palladium, platinum, iron, and chromium, with a BFS NPV of $2.8 billion and an after-tax IRR of 17.6%.
The company is pursuing a "Zero-Carbon Industrial Cluster" strategy, leveraging proprietary IPT carbonation, NetCarb partnerships, and in-situ CO2 injection pilots to sequester up to 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 annually. Canada Nickel Company Inc. aims to become the Western world's largest nickel sulphide producer and a key supplier for the EV and stainless steel markets.
