Sky Gold Corp Reports on Gold and Multi-Element Results from Drilling at Evening Star, Nevada

Sky’s High Life porphyry drilling returned only background gold grades, undermining the project thesis while the company faces severe cash burn.

Executive Summary

Sky Gold Corp. (SKYG) reported drilling results from its High Life target, a porphyry system, which yielded low-grade intercepts. Hole ES-26-01 intersected 17.8 meters of silicification grading up to 44 ppb Au (0.044 g/t) and 0.11% Cu. Hole ES-26-02 returned 13.8 meters of anomalous gold up to 84 ppb (0.084 g/t). At CRD Hill, hole ES-26-03 missed the targeted manto and returned no significant results.

At the historic Gold Bug mine, hole ES-26-04 cut a 12-meter zone containing anomalous gold, silver, and copper, including a best 1.5-meter interval grading 0.219 g/t Au.

Surface grab samples at Good Hope returned up to 48.56 g/t Au. Soil sampling at Golden Bomber defined a 300-meter NW-trending gold-copper-lead-silver anomaly, with surface samples grading up to 14.98 g/t Au and 9.23 g/t Au. The company stated that these results have led to a new approach at High Life and highlighted new drill targets at Good Hope and Golden Bomber.

Material Impact

Sky Gold Corp. (SKYG) has seen its primary investment thesis, centered on a large, high-grade Cu-Au porphyry, directly contradicted by the results of the first two drill holes into the geophysical target. The drilling failed to encounter any economic mineralization.

The company, a pre-revenue junior explorer, currently holds CAD 23k in cash and faces a going-concern warning, with a market capitalization of only approximately CAD 3 million. A drill failure at the flagship target significantly reduces the probability of the company securing financing for the project.

The stock price had already declined from $0.09 to $0.04 prior to the release of these results. The news is expected to accelerate the decline as the market re-evaluates the asset’s value.

The company’s shift to untested surface targets, specifically Good Hope and Golden Bomber, does not offset the failure at the flagship site. These are earlier-stage, smaller-scale targets with no evidence of a large porphyry system.
