Silver Wolf Reports Contact Skarn Intercepts From the Ongoing Drill Program at the Ana Maria Property

Silver Wolf Exploration Ltd. (SWLF) has provided an update on its ongoing drilling program at the La Recompensa Au-Zn contact skarn target on the Ana Maria property, having completed five drill holes totaling 1,301 metres. The company reports that this work reaches the halfway point of the planned program.
Drill hole LRE26-05 intercepted 2.78 metres of garnet-magnetite-hematite skarn at the contact between re-crystallized Early Cretaceous Aurora limestone and the El Sarnoso granodiorite intrusion. The hole was oriented at an azimuth of 310° and a dip of -45°. Iron-oxide staining was observed at the contact zone, which may indicate weathered sulfides and increased potential for gold mineralization.
The company reports multiple intercepts of magnetite and garnet-rich contact skarn across the completed holes, confirming expectations of the Au-Zn target skarn extending along the boundary of the El Sarnoso intrusion. Garnet-magnetite skarn veins and veinlets were encountered irregularly in the granodiorite intrusion, with additional mineralogy including epidote, chlorite, and hematite reported for the completed holes.
These results build upon channel sampling from January 2022 which discovered Au-Zn values of 37 g/t gold and 7.6% zinc at the contact zone. Samples from all five holes have been processed and submitted to the SGS laboratory in Durango, Mexico. However, longer than normal turnaround times due to laboratory backlog mean that full assay results are expected in Q3/Q4 2026.
The core was processed by Silver Wolf employees, involving HQ-diameter logging, photography, and splitting by diamond rock saw. Sample intervals were generally 0.5-1.5 m. Analysis by SGS included gold fire assay using 30-g splits with an AAS finish, or a gravimetric finish for samples containing more than 10 ppm Au. Silver, zinc, lead, copper, and 27 other elements were analyzed via ICP-EOS using a four-acid digest. Overlimit methods were applied for Au (>10 ppm), Ag (>100 ppm), Zn, Cu, and Pb. Quality control was maintained via certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicates inserted into the series.
"The contact skarn intercepted so far confirms our expectation of the Au-Zn target skarn extending along the boundary of the large circular El Sarnoso intrusion," said Peter Latta, President. "Our next steps are to build on Au-Zn results of 37 g/t gold and 7.6% zinc values discovered from channel sampling at the contact zone in January 2022 and encounter further Au-bearing skarn zones."
