Thunderstruck Granted Exploration License Renewal, Appoints VP Exploration

Thunderstruck Resources Ltd. (AWE) has announced the renewal of Special Prospecting License 1425 for a period of five years, securing its Liwa, Rama, and Nakoro assets in Fiji. The renewal covers the maximum period allowed under Fiji's mineral exploration regulations and encompasses three of the company's four assets.

Concurrently, the company appointed Mr. Wenbin Chen as Vice President, Exploration for its Fijian asset portfolio, effective immediately. Mr. Chen brings over 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and mine development to the role. He currently serves as Executive Deputy General Manager of Vatukoula Gold Mines Limited in Fiji.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Chen served as Chairman and General Manager of Zhongrun's Pingwu Gold Mine from 2013 to 2024, where he led programs that discovered approximately 1.3 million ounces of gold. His career includes serving as General Manager of the Southern China Exploration Division of Sino Gold Corporation, which later became Eldorado Gold. He began his career in 1984 with the 105 Geological Brigade of the Guizhou Provincial Geological Bureau. Mr. Chen holds a postgraduate diploma in Geology from Beijing University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the China University of Geosciences, and an Associate Degree in Geological Exploration from the Guilin Metallurgical Geological Institute.

Planning for the 2026 exploration program is well underway.
