SUPERQ QUANTUM ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH IEEE COMPUTER SOCIETY; JOINS APPLE, AWS AND FOUR OTHERS ON AN EXCLUSIVE CORPORATE PARTNERS LIST
SuperQ Quantum Computing Inc. has entered a strategic partnership with the IEEE Computer Society, the world's leading organization for computing professionals and researchers. The partnership focuses on growing quantum computing and high performance computing sectors through joint initiatives. This partnership places SuperQ among an elite group of only seven corporate partners, including industry giants such as Apple and Amazon Web Services.
Prestigious partnership to enhance SuperQ's market position and user base
The IEEE Computer Society partnership represents a significant milestone for SuperQ, providing the company with enhanced visibility and credibility in the quantum computing ecosystem. IEEE Computer Society members -- comprising computer scientists, software developers, information technology professionals, computer engineers, institutions and corporations -- represent a key user demographic for SuperQ's Super platform, both in research and commercial applications.
SuperQ's chief executive officer, Dr. Muhammad Khan, has been an active IEEE Computer Society member, and has contributed research to several IEEE conferences and publications such as the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Software Engineering. He is also involved in IEEE quantum and IEEE high performance computing technical groups.
Dr. Khan commented: "Being an IEEE Computer Society partner places SuperQ in distinguished company alongside tech giants like Apple and AWS. This partnership not only validates our innovative approach to making quantum computing accessible but also connects us directly with the technical professionals who can leverage our Super platform to solve complex computational challenges in their respective fields."
Comprehensive collaboration framework
The partnership encompasses a wide range of collaborative initiatives designed to advance quantum computing education, research and commercial applications:
IEEE quantum week: SuperQ will feature heavily at IEEE quantum week 2025 (Aug. 31 to Sept. 5). This includes presenting multiple talks, exhibiting and more. Details will become available soon.
Joint tech events at Super hubs: SuperQ and IEEE Computer Society will co-organize webinars, workshops and master classes focused on quantum computing applications across various industries, with special emphasis on practical implementation using the Super platform. SuperQ's Super hubs will serve as focal points for these activities.
New IEEE CS chapters: SuperQ will support the establishment of new IEEE Computer Society chapters and technical groups in regions where the company has a strong presence, particularly in Canada, the United Arab Emirates and emerging markets, fostering local quantum and high performance computing communities.
Research journals and conferences: SuperQ will be publishing its research and practice papers showcasing theoretical and practical quantum computing in IEEE Computer Society journals and presenting them at IEEE conferences. IEEE Computer Society is home to some of the world's top computer science journals and conferences.
"IEEE Computer Society members are at the forefront of technological innovation, making them ideal users and advocates for our Super platform," said Krishna Ganesh, chief operating officer and director of SuperQ. "This partnership creates a powerful feedback loop -- their expertise helps us refine our platform, while our technology enables them to push the boundaries of what's possible."
Building on recent momentum
This announcement builds on SuperQ's recent string of scientific and commercial achievements, including first revenue deals; partnerships with D-Wave, Web Summit and Economic Development Lethbridge; research collaborations with the University of Lethbridge and the University of Northern British Columbi; and SuperQ's chief executive officer and a director chairing symposiums at the SIAM/CAIMS annual meeting.
"The IEEE Computer Society partnership and our prominent role at IEEE quantum week 2025 further cements SuperQ's position as a leader in making quantum computing practical and accessible," said Manoj Joseph, chief business officer and director of SuperQ. "We will be creating new IEEE chapters at our Super hub locations and organizing joint activities such as webinars, hackathons and round tables."
