Mr. John Putters reports
NEW MEDIA CAPITAL 2.0 INC. ANNOUNCES RTO TARGET COMPANY EXPANDS OPERATIONS INTO NORTH AMERICA
Asiatel Outsourcing Ltd., the target company under New Media Capital 2.0 Inc.'s previously announced definitive share exchange agreement dated July 16, 2025 (see news releases of July 18, 2025, and Sept. 22, 2025), has formally established a Canadian sales office in Vancouver, B.C., to spearhead the expansion of its business process outsourcing (BPO) services into North America.
New Media chief executive officer John Putters commented: "We are making strong progress in completing the required regulatory documentation for our qualifying transaction with Asiatel in accordance with TSX-V [TSX Venture Exchange] policies. While regulatory preparations are advancing, I am equally pleased to highlight that Asiatel is continuing to broaden its customer base and has established a Canadian sales office and is actively expanding their services into the North American market."
Asiatel delivers a full spectrum of BPO solutions tailored to the needs of modern enterprises. Its service portfolio spans customer engagement and call centre operations, finance and accounting support, data management, legal and paralegal assistance, IT (information technology) and technical help desk services, as well as remote staffing and employer-of-record solutions. By combining operational expertise with scalable delivery models, Asiatel helps clients to lower costs, improve efficiency and maintain compliance -- allowing businesses to stay focused on growth while Asiatel manages critical support functions.
Asiatel chief executive officer Jas (Andy) Anand stated: "While working alongside New Media on this transaction, we have continued to expand the scope of our business operations. We are proud to announce the opening of our Canadian sales office in Vancouver, B.C., a key milestone in our North American growth strategy. With this new office, Asiatel is positioned to bring nearly two decades of BPO expertise to Canadian and U.S. clients, delivering cost-effective, scalable and high-quality solutions. Supporting this expansion, we are pleased to appoint Mr. J. Craig Goodwin as vice-president, North America, to lead our regional sales and marketing efforts. We believe the Canadian market offers significant growth potential and presents a compelling business case for building a strong and diverse client portfolio."
Mr. Goodwin joins Asiatel as a key member of the senior management team, bringing a distinguished career in sales and marketing, including with a large and prominent outdoor advertising company, and more than 30 years of experience in the public markets.
Mr. Goodwin commented: "Asiatel has demonstrated consistent growth in both services and revenue for almost a decade. With its proposed entry into the public markets through the qualifying transaction with New Media, Asiatel is poised for a new phase of expansion. I am excited to lead the development of a bold sales strategy in Canada, one that serves private enterprises as well as emerging public companies seeking cost-effective, scalable outsourcing solutions. With Asiatel's proven expertise and commitment to innovation, I am confident we are positioned to establish a strong footprint in the North American market."
Asiatel's expansion into North America comes at a pivotal time as Canadian and U.S. businesses increasingly rely on outsourcing to offset rising labour costs, manage operational complexity, and meet growing demands for service quality, compliance and innovation.
North America accounts for roughly 38.4 per cent of the global BPO market, generating an estimated $120-billion (U.S.) to $130-billion (U.S.) in revenue in 2023. A substantial share of this demand is fulfilled by the Philippines, whose world-class BPO and IT-BPM (information technology and business process management) industry generated approximately $37.4-billion (U.S.) in 2024, solidifying its role as one of the world's leading outsourcing hubs.
