NexGold Intersects 61.22 g/t Gold over 12.0 Metres and 5.85 g/t Gold over 13.0 Metres During Infill Drill Program at the Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia
NeXGold’s Goldboro infill drilling confirms high-grade zones, awaiting final investment decision to unlock value.

NeXGold Mining Corp. (NEXG) has released initial assay results from its ongoing Reverse Circulation (RC) infill drill program at the Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia. The initiative is designed to upgrade Mineral Resources from Indicated to Measured categories and de-risk early-year mining plans ahead of a targeted Final Investment Decision (FID) later in 2026.
More than 65% of the planned 30,000-metre program is now complete, with 3,265 metres reported from 82 RC drill holes. Significant intercepts include:
- 61.22 g/t Au over 12.0 metres (including 685 g/t Au over 1.0 metre)
- 5.85 g/t Au over 13.0 metres (including 61.2 g/t Au over 1.0 metre)
These results are consistent with previous diamond drilling, confirming the location, grade tenor, and thickness of mineralization in the westernmost areas coincident with early mining phases. The assay results will feed into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and an updated Feasibility Study anticipated in Q3 2026.
NeXGold Mining Corp. (NEXG) released an operational update confirming high-grade continuity at its Goldboro project, supporting ongoing de-risking efforts. The results serve as a direct follow-up to previously announced infill drilling programs and align with management’s stated timeline for resource upgrades and feasibility studies.
The announcement does not introduce new financial terms, change project economics, or alter the targeted final investment decision (FID) timeline. While technically positive, the market has already priced in the expectation of high-grade infill results given extensive prior drilling and permitting milestones. Consequently, the news is considered incremental and expected, carrying a routine positive impact rather than a material market-moving one.
NeXGold Mining Corp. (NEXG) is a Canadian-focused gold developer headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Its flagship asset is the Goldboro Gold Project in Nova Scotia, a fully permitted, 100%-owned open-pit and underground gold operation. The project has secured all major federal and provincial permits, including Fisheries Act Authorizations and Industrial Approval.
The company also holds the Goliath Gold Complex in Ontario, which contains proven and probable reserves of 1.27 Moz Au and measured and indicated resources of 1.78 Moz Au. Infill drilling is currently underway to optimize the Goldlund deposit. Additionally, NeXGold owns the Niblack Project in Alaska, a polymetallic deposit containing gold, silver, copper, and zinc, which features an existing underground portal.
Management is led by CEO Kevin Bullock, supported by a board that includes experienced mining executives such as David Anthony, President and CEO of Asante Gold.
