GR · Price
Executive Summary
- Great Atlantic Resources Corp. completed the first phase of its 2026 trenching program at its 100% owned Golden Promise Property in central Newfoundland.
- Three trenches (60m, 70m, and 105m long) were excavated to test multi-element soil geochemical anomalies, including gold, within Mineral Licence 036105M.
- 29 rock samples were collected from the trenches and submitted for gold and multi-element analysis, with results currently pending.
Key Details
- Trenching Program: First phase of the 2026 program completed in late May to early June at the Golden Promise Property (Licence 036105M).
- Trench Specifications: Three trenches excavated measuring approximately 60, 70, and 105 meters in length. Oriented northwest-southeast, perpendicular to bedrock geology contacts between the Lawrence Harbour Formation and Stanley Waters Formation.
- Geological Conditions: Exposed bedrock is common across the trenches with overburden less than one meter thick in numerous locations; bedrock was cleaned using high-pressure water sprayers.
- Rock Sampling: 29 rock samples collected from excavated rubble, subcrop, and bedrock. Samples submitted to Eastern Analytical Ltd. (Springdale, NL) for analysis.
- Analytical Methods: Gold analysis via Fire Assay (30g) with AA finish; multi-element analysis (34 elements) via four acid digestion and ICP-OES analysis. Results are pending.
- Historical Geochemistry (2024): Reconnaissance soil sampling along a NE-SW traverse identified anomalous values including gold (44, 53, and 83 ppb), silver (up to 3.9 ppm), copper (up to 121 ppm), molybdenum (up to 44 ppm), antimony (up to 28 ppm), zinc (up to 225 ppm), arsenic (up to 172 ppm), and vanadium (up to 920 ppm).
- Property Context: The 2026 trenching program is located ~5 km northeast of the Linda/Snow White gold-bearing quartz vein system. The property hosts multiple gold-bearing quartz vein systems (Jaclyn Zone, Shawn's Shot, Otter Brook, Linda/Snow White, Gabbro Zone) and is situated in the Exploits Subzone of the Newfoundland Dunnage Zone, approximately 50 km northeast of Equinox Gold's Valentine Gold Mine.
- Qualified Person: David Martin, P.Geo., VP Exploration, reviewed and approved all technical information in compliance with NI 43-101.
Notable Quotes
- Christopher R. Anderson, CEO: "Completion of the first trenching phase represents another important milestone in our 2026 exploration program at Golden Promise. The work is helping refine our understanding of known gold-bearing zones while supporting the advancement of additional targets across the property. We remain encouraged and look forward to the next stages of our work program on the property."
