XAU Resources Announces Planned Soil Sampling Program at the Noseno Gold Project, Guyana, Following Airborne Geophysics Interpretation

XAU Resources Inc. (GIG) announced the commencement of a field exploration program in early November 2026 on its Noseno gold property in northwest Guyana, where it holds an option to acquire a 100% interest. The initiative is driven by recent interpretations of 5,247 line-km of airborne magnetic and radiometric data, which identified a major northwest-southeast structure and intrusive bodies as priority targets. These interpretations follow field observations at the historical Williams prospect that yielded high-grade grab samples, prompting immediate channel sampling and soil sampling campaigns.
The airborne geophysics data, covering 865 km², was originally acquired in 1994 by Golden Star Resources and reprocessed by the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC). Interpretation of this data identified a major northwest-southeast structure running through the center of the property and at least two interpreted intrusive bodies in the north-central part. The Company’s Qualified Person noted that the data is indicative only and requires ground verification.
Recent field observations at the Williams prospect, located near an active artisanal hard-rock working, produced significant grab sample results. Quartz vein grab samples returned 51.55 g/t Au and 6.13 g/t Au. Additionally, sheared wall rock grab samples yielded 663 ppb Au and 565 ppb Au. The Company emphasized that these samples are selective and not necessarily representative of the overall mineralization.
The 2026 exploration program scope includes the completion of 24 remaining high-priority BLEG stream sediment samples. At the Williams Working, the company plans three to four days of geological mapping, prospecting, and channel sampling of exposed outcrops. The initial phase of soil sampling will involve approximately 790 samples over 39 line-km covering the core of Target Area 1. The full first-pass plan encompasses approximately 4,325 samples across two priority target areas. Target Area 1 will cover approximately 2,600 samples over 128 line-km, focusing on the northwest-southeast structure and intrusive bodies. Target Area 2 will cover approximately 1,725 samples over 84 line-km, covering the east-northeast-trending Noseno structure. The sampling grid consists of 400 m-spaced lines with samples every 50 m, with subsequent 200 m-spaced infill lines planned for anomalies.
Samples are processed by Actlabs Guyana Inc., an ISO 9001:2015 certified laboratory. The assay method involves fire assay with a 50 g charge and atomic absorption finish. A gravimetric finish is used for re-assays of samples containing greater than 3,000 ppb Au. The Company did not submit quality control samples with this batch, though laboratory internal quality assurance and quality control were acceptable. The Company noted limitations regarding the selective nature of grab sampling, small sample size, the absence of company-inserted quality control, and the presence of coarse visible gold affecting reproducibility.
The scientific and technical information in this release was reviewed by Mr. Kevin Thomson, P.Geo. He has not visited the property in connection with the work described, and field observations are based on reports by company personnel.
