Blue Moon Announces the Signing of the Refurbishment Contract for the Springer Mill, Engages with Wood Group and Acquires Accommodations for Springer Site
Blue Moon names a Springer mill refurb contractor and buys a camp as a Q4-2027 restart holds.

Blue Moon Metals Inc. (MOON) announced on Oct 26, 2026, that it has contracted RAM Enterprise Inc. of Elko, Nevada, to assess, refurbish, and commission the Springer processing plant and its supporting infrastructure. The agreement includes electrical and instrumentation upgrades and start-up support, with Nordmin Engineering Ltd. providing engineering services as part of the RAM team. The company targets completion of these works by the fourth quarter of 2027.
To oversee the project, Blue Moon has engaged Wood Group USA Inc. as its owner’s engineer. Wood Group will provide independent review and oversight of the design, procurement, construction, cost, schedule, quality, and commissioning readiness. The firm cites more than 60 years of experience in mining, minerals, and metals, along with involvement in over 3,000 studies and 250 major projects.
In a separate development, Blue Moon entered into a binding agreement on Oct 5, 2026, to acquire an operating RV park and mobile home site located approximately seven miles from the mill via Tungsten Road, adjacent to Interstate 80. The property includes 31 RV sites and five mobile home sites, along with existing septic, power, and water infrastructure. The site also holds a permitted expansion for 14 additional RV sites. The acquisition, which carries no finder’s fees and is free of material encumbrances, is valued at US$1.7 million in cash, with closing expected in December 2026.
Reza Ehsani, P.Eng., Senior Vice President of Projects, serves as the qualified person for these disclosures. These updates follow previous announcements regarding the Springer acquisition in February 2026, permitting in August 2026, and investment details in September 2026.
Blue Moon Metals Inc. (MOON) has advanced its construction phase for the mill refurbishment project, confirming a Q4 2027 restart timeline. The company secured an in-state contractor, RAM, to provide an operating-mine workforce, engaged Wood as the independent Owner’s Engineer, and arranged worker housing. These moves address near-term execution and logistics requirements for the project, which relies on revalidated historical data from the 1970s and 1980s.
The construction activities follow the formal unlocking of the project scope by the Water Pollution Control Permit, Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), and reclamation bond approvals issued on August 20, 2026. The permit authorized the commencement of construction, specifically including the refurbishment of the existing mill. This development aligns with the strategic financing package of US$1.7 million to US$1.75 million secured through Elmet and EQ on September 14, 2026, and the subsequent closing of the Elmet placement on October 19, 2026.
Blue Moon Metals reported US$1.7 million in cash expenditures for accommodations. The company’s capital position included approximately US$134 million in cash as of June 30, 2026, adjusted, and US$40.4 million at March 31, 2026, prior to a US$156.2 million raise in May 2026.
The company has maintained its previously announced construction path without missed milestones. Prior-period financial context includes a fiscal year 2025 net loss of C$38.8 million and a first quarter 2026 net loss of C$34.1 million, with exploration spending of US$28.4 million compared to US$0.7 million in the prior year. The company reported no revenue during these periods.
Blue Moon Metals Inc. (MOON) is a mineral exploration and development company advancing six brownfield polymetallic projects in tier-1 jurisdictions, including Norway and the United States. The company’s strategic core relies on a "hub-and-spoke" model centered on the Springer complex as a regional processing hub, with the Nussir project serving as the near-term revenue engine.
At Nussir in Norway, the company holds approximately 94.52% ownership of a copper–gold–silver deposit where underground construction is underway. An NI 43-101 report dated April 2026 outlines Proven & Probable reserves of 24.98 million tonnes at 0.99% CuEq, targeting approximately 21,000 tonnes per annum of CuEq production. The final investment decision (FID) was completed in April 2026, with a startup target of 2027.
The Springer project in Nevada, the subject of the release, is a 100%-owned tungsten–molybdenum asset. It features a 1,200 tonnes per day flotation mill equipped with an APT circuit, one of only two such facilities in North America. Historical NI 43-101 data from August 2012 indicated 10.72 million tonnes at 0.44% WO3, though this is treated as historical rather than current resource data. The company is targeting a restart for the mill in Q4 2027 and the APT plant in H2 2028.
In California, the Blue Moon project, a zinc–gold–silver–copper deposit, began decline construction in October 2025, with production forecast for 2028. In Utah, the Apex project, a germanium–gallium–copper asset, was acquired from Teck with the transaction closing on March 16, 2026. The deal includes a 0.5% NSR payable to Teck plus a 3.0% assumed NSR. Additionally, the company holds exploration, asset-sale, and DSO-feed plays at NSG in Norway and the Ropa Portfolio, which comprises 33 US projects.
