Nord Precious Metals Announces Filing of Ni 43-101 Technical Report for the Gowganda Silver Tailings Project, Ontario with an Updated Mineral Resource Estimate
Nord Precious filed a NI 43-101 report for the Gowganda tailings project, advancing permitting for near-term silver recovery.

Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. announced the filing of an NI 43-101 Technical Report and Updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its 100%-owned Gowganda Silver Tailings Deposit, also known as the Castle Silver Property, in Ontario. Prepared by independent Qualified Person Duncan Studd of GeoVector Management Inc., the report provides updated 2026 Mineral Resource estimates, which were initially disclosed in a previous release dated September 15, 2026.
The project is located on a property that historically produced approximately 42 million ounces of silver between 1910 and 1972 from the Miller Lake – O’Brien Mine workings. The company is advancing a silver-recovery and exploration strategy in Ontario's historic Cobalt-Gowganda mining camp, with immediate priorities including technical, engineering, financing, and permitting components for silver recovery at Gowganda. This strategy is anchored by TTL Laboratories in Cobalt, the only permitted high-grade milling facility in the historic Cobalt Camp, which offers assay, bulk-sampling, and silver doré pouring capabilities.
The Company’s 63 sq. km combined Castle-Gowganda property includes 225 hectares of leases and hosts past-producing mines (Siscoe-O’Brien, Castle, Millerett) and the Castle East discovery.
Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. (NTH) filed a procedural document confirming the completion of its technical report, which follows the preliminary resource update released on September 15, 2026. The filing satisfies regulatory reporting requirements under NI 43-101 and does not introduce new resource numbers or alter the company's economic thesis.
The update reinforces the technical foundation for the company's near-term permitting applications, with a Mineral Recovery Permit targeted for October 2026, and supports engineering work for a 1,000 tonnes per day processing plant. The market likely anticipated this filing given the September announcement, viewing the news as incremental validation rather than a catalyst for immediate price appreciation. No material change to the company's financial position or dilution profile is disclosed in the release.
Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on silver and critical metals, including cobalt, copper, and nickel, within Ontario’s historic Cobalt Camp. Its flagship initiative is the Gowganda Silver Tailings Project, also known as the Castle Silver Property. The company’s strategy involves reprocessing historical silver-cobalt tailings using modular gravity concentration at TTL Laboratories, supplemented by the Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process for cobalt recovery.
The company’s exploration portfolio comprises a 63 sq. km Castle-Gowganda land package. This area includes the high-grade Castle East silver-cobalt discovery, which has historically delineated over 7.5 million ounces of inferred silver. Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. is also evaluating gold potential along the Ridout-Tyrrell Corridor.
Infrastructure advantages include ownership of TTL Laboratories, which serves as a permitted, high-grade milling and processing hub. This asset reduces development risk and enables toll-processing opportunities. The project operates under Ontario’s streamlined Recovery Permit framework, which aims to approve tailings reprocessing projects in approximately 80 days.
