Skeleton Coast Uranium Submits Renewal Application for EPL 8208 with a Fully Funded Two Year Exploration Programme
Skeleton Coast secured a uranium licence renewal and $1.1 million in funding for its 2027-2029 exploration programme in Namibia.

Skeleton Coast Uranium Corp. has submitted a renewal application for Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 8208 in Namibia, covering 7,840.7 hectares contiguous with the Langer Heinrich uranium mine. The renewal is supported by a fully funded, two-year exploration programme totaling N$13.75 million (approx. C$1.1 million).
Year 1 (2027) focuses on helicopter-borne geophysics, mapping, and geochemical sampling to define targets. Year 2 (2028) involves reverse circulation, rotary air blast, and diamond drilling of priority targets, contingent on a formal decision gate. The company aims to earn up to a 75% interest in EPL 8208 by incurring CAD$3 million in exploration expenditures by June 30, 2028.
No mapping, sampling, or drilling has been carried out within the licence in the initial term; no mineralization has been established to date.
Skeleton Coast Uranium Corp. (SKEL) has secured a critical administrative step to maintain its tenure, ensuring compliance ahead of the January 23, 2027 deadline. This licence renewal accompanies a fully funded exploration programme that confirms management's commitment to advancing the project and aligns with the previously announced CAD$5 million expenditure requirement.
The company’s recent activities demonstrate steady execution, progressing from data digitization in August 2026 to target identification on October 8, 2026, followed by the licence renewal and the commencement of funded fieldwork on October 13, 2026. While these developments validate the exploration plan and capital availability, the company remains in the pre-resource, pre-revenue stage, with the current activities not constituting a resource definition or an immediate price catalyst.
Skeleton Coast Uranium Corp. (SKEL) is a pre-revenue mineral exploration company focused on uranium and base metal properties in Namibia's Erongo Region and British Columbia. The company’s flagship portfolio consists of five Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPLs) covering approximately 610 km². EPL 8208 is strategically located contiguous with the Langer Heinrich mine, targeting secondary calcrete-hosted palaeochannel mineralization and primary leucogranite-associated mineralization. The company has zero operating revenue and is in the early exploration phase.
