Pan Global Awarded Spanish Government Grant to Accelerate Exploration at Escacena Copper Project, Spain
Pan Global uses Spanish grant funds to advance Escacena exploration despite dilution risk from the October 31 warrant expiry.

Pan Global Resources Inc. (PGZ) announced it has secured a €250,000 (~C$400,000) non-repayable grant from the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. The funding is strictly designated to accelerate exploration at the company’s 100%-owned Escacena Project, covering cartography, soil sampling, geophysical surveys, and diamond drilling.
Management stated the grant accelerates the exploration timeline without diluting existing shareholders. The release coincides with active Phase 2 drilling at the Cañada Honda target, the completion of a helicopter electromagnetic and magnetic survey at Escacena South, and ongoing drilling at the Cármenes Providencia target.
The grant is non-dilutive and aligns with Pan Global Resources Inc.’s publicly stated 2026 exploration budget, though its monetary value is immaterial relative to the company’s approximately $10.4 million cash balance and $76 million market capitalization. The announcement does not alter the fundamental exploration thesis, resource targets, or valuation drivers. The market likely anticipated government support given Spain's strategic focus on critical metals. There is no change to guidance, production timelines, or economic studies.
Pan Global Resources Inc. (PGZ) is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on copper, gold, silver, tin, cobalt, and nickel in Spain. Its flagship asset is the 16,745-hectare Escacena Project, located in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, which hosts the La Romana (Cu-Sn-Ag) and Cañada Honda (Au-Cu-Ag) deposits. In December 2025, the company announced a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for La Romana, reporting 32.4 million tonnes of Measured and Indicated resources at 0.37% copper and 0.44% copper equivalent. Additionally, Cañada Honda contains 5.0 million tonnes of Inferred resources grading 0.65 grams per tonne gold.
The company also holds the 5,653-hectare Cármenes Project in northern Spain. The Providencia target within this project has shown high-grade gold potential, with intersections up to 83 meters at 1.74 grams per tonne gold, as well as polymetallic copper-nickel-cobalt potential. Furthermore, Pan Global Resources has had a lease bid accepted for the 532-hectare Salamón Project, though the matter is currently pending appeal.
