Silver Range Defines Targets at the Drum Property in Utah
Silver Range defines drill targets at its Drum project, though cash burn and going concern risks persist.

Silver Range Resources Ltd. (SNG) released an exploration update regarding its Drum Project in central Utah, detailing the compilation of historic data from previous operators including Goldfields, Newmont, and Troymet. The dataset encompasses 41 drill holes alongside extensive surface and soil sampling. The company’s exploration focus has shifted toward structurally controlled, Carlin-style gold mineralization located along the Joy Fault and the radial faults of the Thomas Caldera.
Historic surface samples from the property returned up to 3.94 g/t Au and 47.1 g/t Ag. Additionally, three historic drill holes that tested the Joy Fault returned up to 30.48 m @ 0.967 g/t Au.
In March 2023, a 1% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty on the Drum Property was granted to Altius Minerals Corporation. Future work at the site will include geologic mapping, prospecting, soil sampling, and geophysical surveys aimed at defining new drill targets.
The target definition is based on historic data, and the shift to Carlin-style targets represents a logical next step in the exploration lifecycle.
No new drill results or financing events were disclosed in the release. Additionally, the 1% NSR royalty to Altius was already disclosed in a prior period under a March 2023 agreement. The news is considered incremental and expected, lacking the surprise or scale required to move the stock materially.
Silver Range Resources Ltd. (SNG) operates as a prospect generator, focusing on identifying, advancing, and optioning mineral properties primarily in the Southwest U.S., including Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. The company’s business model relies on generating cash flow through option payments, defined resource payments (DRPs), and royalties, thereby transferring exploration risk to partners.
The company’s flagship projects include East Goldfield in Nevada, which hosts a drill-defined 50–70 koz Au target, and the newly defined Drum property in Utah, which targets Carlin-style gold. Silver Range maintains a frugal operational philosophy characterized by low G&A expenses and minimal internal exploration burn.
