PMET Successfully Completes Phase 2 Caesium Testwork Program with Koch Technology Solutions

PMET advances caesium co-product pathway through testwork, though commercialization remains distant.

Executive Summary

PMET Resources Inc. (PMET) has completed Phase 2 bench-scale testwork conducted by Koch Technology Solutions (KTS). The results demonstrated a simplified, selective processing pathway designed to produce high-purity caesium chemical products from Shaakichiuwaanaan pollucite concentrate. KTS’s proprietary technology exhibited high selectivity for caesium and a significantly reduced impurity profile, which may lower recovery costs compared to conventional methods.

A follow-up Phase 3 program is currently being designed to produce gram quantities of marketable samples, such as caesium formate and caesium carbonate, while assessing operating and capital expenditures. Feed material for this next phase will be sourced from the ongoing "BerryPick Program," which targets the production of more than 500 kg to 1 tonne of pollucite concentrate.

Caesium and tantalum are anticipated to be co-products at Shaakichiuwaanaan, with potential revenue from these materials credited against lithium production costs. The company is targeting a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for Q4 2026 to provide the first economic evaluation of the caesium credit. Additionally, PMET is advancing discussions with strategic caesium players downstream.

Material Impact

PMET Resources Inc. (PMET) released the announcement as a direct follow-up to its April 2026 partnership with KTS and the September 2026 BerryPick sampling program. The update confirms that metallurgical de-risking for the caesium co-product stream is progressing as planned.

The results are incremental and expected, serving to produce gram quantities for downstream validation and to feed into the Q4 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). These developments do not alter the base case lithium economics, nor do they provide immediate revenue visibility.

Company Overview

PMET Resources Inc. is a Canadian critical minerals developer focused on the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada. The project hosts a large-scale Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatite system.

The flagship CV5 Pegmatite contains a maiden probable mineral reserve of 84.3 Mt at 1.26% Li2O. The company targets up to approximately 800,000 tonnes per annum of SC5.5 spodumene concentrate using a simple Dense Media Separation (DMS) flowsheet.

The project also hosts the world's largest in-situ pollucite-hosted caesium pegmatite resource, comprising 0.69 Mt at 4.40% Cs2O indicated and 1.70 Mt at 2.40% Cs2O inferred. Significant co-product potential for tantalum has been identified through metallurgical testwork.

The project is in an advanced development stage. An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) was submitted in March 2026. The company is targeting a final investment decision by the end of calendar 2027, with commercial production targeted for 2030 for Phase 1 and 2032 for Phase 2.
