KOOTENAY REPORTS DRILL RESULTS FROM LUPE VEIN AS 60,000-METER COLUMBA PROGRAM ADVANCES

Kootenay reports 84 metres of silver mineralisation in the Lupe Vein at its project near 52-week lows.

Executive Summary

Kootenay Silver Inc. (KTN) released results for drill holes CDH-26-254 through CDH-26-262, a batch issued on Sept. 22, 2026, as part of the 60,000-meter staged Columba program. More than 30,000 meters have been drilled, with 51 holes reported to date.

Key intercepts include:

  • CDH-26-254 (Lupe): 94 g/t Ag, 0.1% Pb, 0.2% Zn over 84.45m core (57.43m etw) from 392.55m; including 755 g/t Ag over 1.8m (1.22m etw); sub-interval 1,165 g/t Ag over 0.83m (0.56m etw). Also D Vein: 28 g/t Ag, 0.5% Pb, 0.7% Zn over 24m (16.32m etw) from 656m. Reported vertical depth 615m below surface.
  • CDH-26-256 (Lupe): 759 g/t Ag, 0.6% Pb, 1.0% Zn over 6.02m (3.01m etw); including 1,184 g/t Ag over 2.92m (1.46m etw); sub-interval 4,040 g/t Ag, 3.2% Pb, 1.3% Zn over 0.30m (0.15m etw). G Vein: 168 g/t Ag over 14.61m (7.31m etw) from 101.19m.
  • CDH-26-257 (Lupe): 250 g/t Ag, 1.4% Pb, 0.8% Zn over 11m (5.94m etw); including 370 g/t Ag, 4.0% Pb, 1.7% Zn over 3.80m (2.05m etw).
  • CDH-26-258 (Lupe): 232 g/t Ag, 0.3% Pb, 0.6% Zn over 24.00m (15.36m etw); including 358 g/t Ag over 14m (8.96m etw); sub-interval 1,520 g/t Ag, 7.6% Pb, 5.9% Zn over 0.55m (0.35m etw). Hanging-wall: 58m @ 51 g/t Ag.
  • CDH-26-260: B2 Vein 209 g/t Ag over 8.30m (4.15m etw); including 2,010 g/t Ag over 0.50m. Blind footwall vein 684 g/t Ag over 2m (1m etw). Lupe 101 g/t Ag over 12.00m (6.00m etw).

The Lupe Vein is now outlined over approximately 520 meters of strike and 450 meters vertically, remaining open in all directions. Drilling is shifting focus to the Julieta (J), Santo Niño (I), and Toro (T) targets. Gold assays remain outstanding, with no gold reported in this release. Two drills are currently operating, and core storage and accommodation are being expanded.

Material Impact

Kootenay Silver Inc. (KTN) reported drill results that modestly expand the Lupe footprint, measuring 520m by 450m, and confirm down-dip continuity from prior drilling. The company is currently a pre-production junior explorer and developer, where results are typically most significant when they grow the system's scale or de-risk operations.

The latest batch delivered an intercept of 6.02m @ 759 g/t, accompanied by a wider halo and a new G Vein hit. This compares to the best prior Lupe intercepts this cycle, which were 10m @ 503 g/t reported on March 2 and 10m @ 96 g/t on September 16. On the basis of grade and width, the new results are at least in line with, and arguably slightly better than, previous findings on the Lupe.

Historically, Columba has presented results such as 98.7m @ 211 g/t and 73.5m @ 439 g/t. The current results are consistent with these long-term figures and represent a steady expansion of a known system rather than opening a new dimension or changing the resource scale calculation.

The stock peaked at approximately C$2.83 in December 2025 and has since round-tripped to C$1.22, near its 52-week low of C$1.13.

The results represent a well-disclosed step-out that grows the Lupe system and adds a G Vein hit at a stock near its lows.
