Nicola Mining Commences First-Ever Drill Program at Treasure Mountain's MB Zone and Reports Intense Mineralization
Nicola’s early-stage TM drilling confirms plan execution, with assay results serving as the primary catalyst for future project evaluation.

Nicola Mining Inc. (NIM) has launched its 2026 exploration drilling program at the Treasure Mountain silver mine in British Columbia. The initiative focuses on the previously undrilled MB Zone, situated approximately 1 km northwest of the historical mine site.
The company plans to drill four diamond drill holes, totaling roughly 800 meters, to evaluate the continuity and scale of high-grade silver-lead-zinc-copper-gold mineralization. Historical surface sampling conducted between 2019 and 2022 returned grades of up to 1,300 g/t Ag, 2.59 g/t Au, 27.4% Pb, and 27.2% Zn.
Visual examination of the first core sample, TM26-001, indicates intense mineralization. Final assay results are expected by the end of 2026. No financial, production, or cost data was included in the release.
Nicola Mining Inc. (NIM) announced an expected exploration milestone that aligns with prior announcements and the company’s 2026 work plan. The update does not alter near-term cash flows, production profiles, or the company's going concern status.
The market has already priced in the exploration timeline; the stock has declined approximately 46% from its February high, reflecting skepticism toward exploration-only updates and persistent cash burn.
Nicola Mining Inc. (NIM) operates the Merritt Mill, the only fully permitted facility in British Columbia authorized to process third-party gold and silver mill feed. The company’s core assets include the New Craigmont copper/skarn/porphyry project, the Treasure Mountain silver property which is permitted but in care and maintenance, the Dominion Creek gold project with a 75% interest, and a gravel pit and cement ready-mix operation.
The company’s strategy involves leveraging the Merritt Mill as a centralized processing hub for high-grade regional projects while advancing exploration and bulk sampling at its owned assets. Nicola Mining maintains partnerships with Blue Lagoon Resources for the Dome Mountain project, as well as Talisker Resources and Red Eye Resources.
