Nuvau Intersects 17.37 g/t over 2.40 m, Extending Gold Mineralization 50 Metres from High-Grade Thundermine Intercept
Nuvau’s step-out hole returned 41.7 g-m Au against a 618 g-m anchor, suggesting potential for higher grades at the project.

Nuvau Minerals Inc. (NMC) reported one additional Thundermine hole, TH-26-11, as a step-out roughly 50 metres shallower than TH-26-08. The headline intercept returned 17.37 g/t Au over 2.40 metres from 178.00 m to 180.40 m downhole. This high-grade interval comprises 1.50 m @ 17.14 g/t Au and 0.40 m @ 39.83 g/t Au, with an intervening 0.50 m gap assigned 0 g/t in the composite.
This sits within a much broader 165.0 m interval averaging 0.37 g/t Au from 112.8 m to 277.7 m; unsampled intervals and assays below detection were assigned 0 g/t. The company states every summer drillhole assayed to date has returned gold mineralization, with six holes still pending. Reported intervals are core lengths; true widths are explicitly unknown.
Nuvau Minerals Inc. (NMC) reported drill results for hole TH-26-11 that fell significantly short of the high-grade intercepts announced in September. The company’s prior release on September 9, 2026, reported TH-26-08 at 138.87 g/t Au over 4.45 m, a discovery-type intercept that drove the stock from C$0.54 on September 8 to C$0.64 on September 9, an increase of approximately 18.5%. The shares held near C$0.60-C$0.62 into September 16, pricing in expectations that follow-up drilling would confirm or approach bonanza-grade continuity.
However, the results for TH-26-11 did not meet those expectations. The new intercept was materially weaker in both grade and width compared to the previous anchor:
- 41.7 g-m versus 618 g-m
- 17.37 g/t versus 138.87 g/t
- 2.40 m versus 4.45 m
The result was not offset by a major new zone or an assayed high-grade structural repeat. For a no-revenue junior explorer with a going-concern flag and a bitcoin-sized market cap, gold drill results are a primary share-price driver. This release is expected to reduce the discovery premium, with a likely negative share-price reaction. A retracement toward C$0.53-C$0.55 support is plausible, with downside risk toward C$0.47-C$0.50 if the market de-rates the gold thesis.
Nuvau Minerals Inc. is a Canadian junior advancing the past-producing Matagami mining district in Quebec, controlling approximately 1,380 square kilometres in the Abitibi region. The company’s asset base includes the permitted Bracemac-McLeod Mine, the Caber Complex zinc-copper resources, and an option on a 3,000 tpd concentrator.
Existing base-metal resources at the Caber Complex include a Measured and Indicated resource of 3.36 Mt @ 5.18% Zn, 1.10% Cu, 14.30 g/t Ag and 0.16 g/t Au, plus an Inferred resource of 7.32 Mt at lower grades. A July 2023 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) showed an after-tax net present value (NPV) of C$115.9 million and a 20% internal rate of return (IRR). While an investor presentation cites higher spot-price-driven economics, these figures are not equivalent to a feasibility study. Thundermine is the emerging gold target within the district; it is early-stage and has no mineral resource.
