XXIX Expands Opemiska's Regional Footprint by Advancing the Pluto Property Option
XXIX Metal completes the Pluto option, adding low-cost regional exploration upside to its Opemiska district assets.

XXIX Metal Corp. completed the issuance of 287,403 common shares to Germanium Mining Corp., satisfying the initial share consideration under the June 23, 2026 Option Agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Pluto Property. The shares were issued at a deemed price of C$0.174 per share, based on the 20-day VWAP ending September 8, 2026. The transaction is subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day.
XXIX's remaining obligation is to incur at least C$250,000 in exploration expenditures on the Pluto Property by December 31, 2028. The Pluto Property is located approximately 10 km from the flagship Opemiska Project and is viewed as a complementary exploration target for copper-gold-silver mineralization. Initial exploration will focus on historical data compilation, reconnaissance mapping, and target ranking, with trenching or drilling deferred until field validation justifies further investment.
XXIX Metal Corp. (XXIX) released details on September 17 regarding a transaction that was already known to the market following its announcement on June 23, 2026. The release serves as a routine execution of a previously disclosed option agreement, adding low-cost regional exploration exposure without diverting capital or strategic focus from the company’s core Opemiska and Thierry projects.
The consideration for the transaction is minimal, totaling $100,000 in aggregate, with $50,000 in shares already accounted for. The future earn-in requirement is a modest C$250,000 by late 2028. There is no new financial or operational data that would alter the company's valuation or development timeline, as the news is considered incremental and expected.
XXIX Metal Corp. is a Canadian exploration and development company focused on copper, gold, and silver in Quebec and Ontario. Its flagship Opemiska project in Quebec is a 100%-owned, 21,333-hectare property described as one of Canada's highest-grade open-pittable copper deposits. An October 2025 preliminary economic assessment outlined a 12,500 tpd open pit operation with an after-tax NPV8% of $505M and an IRR of 27.2%.
The company also holds the Thierry project in Ontario, a 100%-owned, royalty-free property hosting the K1 and K2 zones. Historical resources indicate a large bulk-tonnage copper-PGE system, and a 20,000-metre drill program is currently underway to validate a new geological model. Additionally, XXIX Metal Corp. recently added the Pluto Property in Quebec, a 556-hectare early-stage copper-gold-silver project located approximately 10 km from Opemiska. The property was acquired via an option agreement to expand the regional exploration footprint.
