Freegold Intersects 3.10 g/t Au over 102.8 m including 5.18 g/t Au over 55.9 m as it advances Golden Summit PFS
Freegold reports 102.8 metres at 3.10 g/t gold from cleary infill drilling, with no true width disclosed.

Freegold Ventures Limited (FVL) has released results from additional 2026 infill and condemnation drilling at its Golden Summit project in Alaska. The company reports that six of eight geotechnical holes are now complete, the camp grid-power connection is established, and metallurgical work is progressing. An updated resource estimate is expected for the 2027 Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS).
Key reported intercepts include:
- GS2634, Cleary: 102.8 m at 3.10 g/t Au from 460.2 m, including 55.9 m at 5.18 g/t Au, and 1.2 m at 183.4 g/t Au. Hole stopped at 576.8 m due to technical issues; mineralisation remains open at depth.
- GS2641, Cleary: 5.8 m at 71.46 g/t Au from 154.5 m, and 78.0 m at 1.27 g/t Au from 206.4 m, including 62.7 m at 1.15 g/t Au and 48.4 m at 1.39 g/t Au. High-grade sub-sample of 3.1 m at 133.15 g/t Au from 154.5 m.
- GS2636, Cleary: 36.5 m at 0.91 g/t Au from 188.1 m, including 17.9 m at 1.33 g/t Au, plus separate narrower higher-grade intervals deeper.
- GS2631, Cleary: 24.4 m at 1.28 g/t Au from 160.3 m.
- GS2632, Dolphin: 283.8 m at 0.61 g/t Au from 431.6 m, including 64.0 m at 0.86 g/t Au.
- GS2635, Dolphin: 88.4 m at 1.06 g/t Au, and 268.2 m at 0.72 g/t Au from 480.7 m, including 112.8 m at 0.77 g/t Au and 61.0 m at 0.84 g/t Au.
- GS2637, Dolphin: described as 91.4 m at 0.60 g/t Au from 166.5 m, though the table shows several shorter intervals near 1 g/t Au.
- GS2633, Dolphin: 9 m at 0.81 g/t Au from 173 m.
- GS2639, Dolphin: only narrow near-surface low-grade oxide intervals.
Freegold Ventures Limited (FVL) is a pre-revenue developer advancing a large but low-grade gold resource toward a 2027 Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS). The company holds a market capitalization of approximately C$705 million against 29.1 million ounces of indicated plus inferred resource. This valuation applies to a project with no reserves and no completed PFS.
The recent release consists of infill and condemnation drilling rather than a new discovery or major step-out into a previously untested zone. The Cleary intercepts are encouraging for higher-grade starter-pit definition, and the Dolphin holes confirm broad continuity. However, these results do not materially change the resource or the project thesis.
The market’s revealed expectation is significant. The stock peaked near C$1.82 in January 2026, fell to C$0.90 in July 2026, rebounded to C$1.40 after the strong late-August result, and faded back to C$1.14-1.16 just before this release. The move from C$1.16 on 16 September to C$1.22 on 17 September represents a modest positive reaction, roughly 5%, rather than the 15%+ move that would characterize a Material result.
Because these are infill and resource-definition holes, the appropriate anchor is the existing resource grade, not the best prior headline hole. Against the 1.24 g/t indicated grade, the Cleary intercepts are clearly confirmatory and locally superior, while the Dolphin holes are near resource grade.
Freegold Ventures Limited is focused on the Golden Summit gold project in the Fairbanks Mining District, Alaska, located near Kinross’s Fort Knox mine. The project hosts an indicated primary resource of 17.2 moz at 1.24 g/t Au and an inferred primary resource of 11.9 moz at 1.04 g/t Au, calculated using a 0.5 g/t cut-off and a US$2,490/oz gold price as of July 2025.
Golden Summit comprises a 13 km by 6 km land package with a currently defined resource footprint of approximately 2 km by 1.5 km. The district has produced more than 6.75 moz of placer gold and roughly 500,000 oz of historical lode gold.
As of 30 June 2026, the company held C$42.4 million in cash, had no revenue, and incurred ongoing exploration and evaluation expenses. A C$50 million equity raise in January 2026 funded the current 50,000-metre drill program and PFS workstreams.
