GT Resources Samples 5.6 g/t Gold from Schist Target at the CD Gold - Copper Porphyry Project, Yukon
GT confirms high-grade vein potential in early Yukon sampling ahead of its 2027 maiden drill program.

GT Resources Inc. (GT) has announced initial results from its 2026 field program at the optioned CD Gold-Copper Porphyry Project in the Yukon’s Dawson Range. At the Schist Target, the company identified up to 5.6 g/t gold in weathered breccia vein material, a finding consistent with historic grab and trench samples that returned up to 6.29 g/t Au.
Work at the Maloney Porphyry Target confirmed multi-intrusive porphyry characteristics, including phyllic and potassic alteration and geophysical anomalies such as magnetic highs and IP chargeability. These features are analogous to those found at the nearby Casino deposit.
GT Resources plans to conduct a 2,500 to 3,000-meter diamond drill program in 2027 to test both the porphyry and vein targets, pending the completion of mineralogical studies and age dating. Quality assurance and quality control protocols were followed throughout the process, with standards passing within three standard deviations and blanks remaining below detection limits.
GT Resources Inc. (GT) released results that serve as a direct follow-up to its June 2026 fieldwork initiation, aligning with the company's stated exploration roadmap. Surface sampling results are incremental and expected; they do not constitute drill results and therefore do not de-risk the project materially. A 5.6 g/t Au grab sample is consistent with historical data and does not change the capital requirements or timeline for the planned 2027 maiden drill program.
Given the company's $13.5M market cap and pre-revenue status, this news is unlikely to drive a sustained price move without a subsequent drill result or financing announcement. The update reinforces the geological thesis but adds no new material catalysts for the immediate term.
GT Resources Inc. (GT) is a pre-revenue exploration company focused on critical and precious metals in Tier 1 jurisdictions, specifically Yukon, Canada, and Finland. Its flagship asset is the CD Gold-Copper Porphyry Project, located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt near Carmacks, Yukon. The project features two primary targets: the Maloney Porphyry Target, which hosts gold-copper mineralization, and the Schist Target, a high-grade gold-silver vein system.
The CD Project holds valid Class III exploration permits until 2033, including a 50,000-meter drilling allowance. Additional assets include the LK Project in Finland, which focuses on PGE-Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization; the Canalask Project in Yukon, targeting Cu-Ni; and the Kuhmo Project in Finland, focused on Au-Ni. The company is in the exploration stage with no mineral reserves, production, or economic studies completed.
