Brixton Metals Makes Copper-Gold Porphyry Discovery at the Catalyst Target on its Thorn Project

On October 30, 2025, Brixton Metals announced the discovery of a new copper-gold porphyry system at the Catalyst Target, located on its Thorn Project in British Columbia. This was the first-ever drill program conducted on this target.
The highlight of the five-hole, 2,670-meter program was drill hole THN25-343, which intersected a broad zone of mineralization from surface, returning 424 meters grading 0.12% copper and 0.12 g/t gold. Other holes also hit near-surface mineralization, including 91.5 meters of 0.14 g/t gold and 0.10% copper in hole THN25-341.
Chairman and CEO Gary R. Thompson stated that the discovery is a "major step forward" and that the target exhibits signs of a "fertile multi-phase porphyry system." The mineralization remains open for expansion, and additional assay results are pending.
This is a material positive development for Brixton. The confirmation of a new, large, mineralized porphyry system through a grassroots discovery is a significant exploration success. It validates the company's geological model and regional targeting strategy, which was outlined in its 2025 exploration plans.

Progression of Projections: The company's May 2025 plan explicitly stated its intention to drill test new, near-surface copper porphyry targets, including Catalyst. The July 24 news confirmed drilling had commenced. This October 30 release delivers on that plan with a discovery hole. This demonstrates competent execution of their stated strategy.

Significance of Results: While the grades in the discovery hole (424m of 0.12% Cu and 0.12 g/t Au) are low, the sheer length of the intercept and its position starting from surface are highly encouraging. It confirms the presence of a large-scale system, which is the critical first step. For a junior explorer, making a new discovery on a previously untested target materially enhances the project's overall potential and reduces exploration risk. It opens up what the CEO calls the "emerging 8km-10km Camp Creek Corridor," suggesting district-scale potential.
-
Context with Other Targets: This discovery at Catalyst complements the project's other advanced targets. Brixton now has three distinct styles of mineralization being advanced:
- Camp Creek: A deep, higher-grade Cu-Au-Mo porphyry system.
- Trapper: A near-surface, structurally controlled high-grade gold system.
- Catalyst: A potential large-tonnage, near-surface, lower-grade Cu-Au porphyry system. This diversification of target types within a single project is a key strength, providing multiple avenues for a major discovery.
The market's reaction will likely be positive due to the discovery nature of the news, but may be tempered by the low grades. However, for a first pass on a new target, this is a very successful outcome and a material value-add for the company.
Brixton Metals Corporation is a Canadian junior exploration company. Its flagship asset is the wholly-owned, large-scale Thorn Project located in the Golden Triangle of northwestern British Columbia. The project is a district-scale exploration play hosting multiple styles of mineralization across various targets, including: - Camp Creek: A deep, bulk tonnage copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry system. - Trapper: A near-surface, high-grade epithermal gold target. - Catalyst & other regional targets: Newly identified porphyry copper-gold targets. The company also holds other assets, notably the Hog Heaven Project in Montana, which is under an earn-in agreement with Ivanhoe Electric Inc.
