Power Metallic Intercepts Lion Style Sulphides (Lion East and Lion West) Following Recently Recognized High Grade Structural Trends
Power Metallic Validates High-Grade Plunge at Lion Zone as Exploration Vectors Toward Potential Ni-Cu Source

The most recent news (March 03, 2026) provides an exploration update from the fall drill program. Key highlights include the identification of a shallow easterly plunge controlling high-grade mineralization within the Lion Zone. Hole PML-26-054 intersected 5 meters of "Lion-style" mineralization with visible copper, and hole PML-26-067 hit 1 meter of massive copper sulphides. Additionally, the company identified a new gold zone in the Hinge area (34.6 g/t Au over 1.50m) and intersected massive nickeliferous sulphides at the Lion West target.
The news is Routine - Positive. While the results are technically strong (high-grade gold and visible copper), they are incremental follow-ups to a long-standing exploration thesis. The market was already aware of the "Lion-style" mineralization and the easterly plunge potential from February 2026 updates. The "vectoring" toward a larger Ni-Cu source is a geological theory that has yet to be proven by a "discovery hole" of a new, separate massive deposit. However, the confirmation of strike extension 350m east of Lion is a solid step toward resource growth.
Power Metallic Mines (formerly Power Nickel) is focused on the Nisk Project in Quebec, Canada. The flagship is the Lion Zone, a high-grade polymetallic discovery (Cu, Ni, PGE, Au, Ag). The project benefits from exceptional infrastructure, including proximity to a Hydro-Quebec substation and a 50% provincial exploration tax credit.
