NevGold Turns a Year of Drilling Into a U.S. Antimony Resource
Nevgold’s maiden resource confirms antimony-gold potential at the project, though economic viability remains unproven.

Nevgold Corp. released its maiden gold and antimony Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Limousine Butte Project in Nevada, defining 29,600 tonnes of antimony in Measured and Indicated categories at 0.26% Sb, and 181,400 ounces of gold in Measured and Indicated. The company outlined two development scenarios: a near-term "jumpstart" antimony production pathway targeting late 2027/early 2028 using already-mined surface material, and a full commercial mining operation targeting 2029-2030.
A near-term subset identifies 6,900 tonnes of antimony in Measured and Indicated at 0.28% Sb, located in material already at surface. No mine scheduling studies, Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), or Feasibility Study have been completed.
The company remains well-capitalized with approximately C$50 million in cash following a C$42.2 million private placement in May and a debt settlement in June. A 20,000-meter drilling program commenced in May focuses on resource expansion at the Bullet Zone, Armory Fault, and Resurrection Ridge.
Nevgold Corp. (NAU) released its maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), marking a significant geological milestone that had been anticipated since late 2025. The release confirms the company's resource base but does not de-risk the project economically, as no Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) or Feasibility Study currently exists.
The company’s "jumpstart" scenario relies on reprocessing historical leach pads, a strategy that offers a lower-capital pathway but implies lower throughput and reliance on legacy material with variable grades.
Nevgold’s stock has already experienced a massive run-up from approximately $0.25 in August 2025 to a peak of $3.03 in May 2026, followed by a roughly 45% correction. Consequently, this news is viewed as expected execution rather than a market-moving surprise. Given the lack of economic validation and the stock's recent price action, the impact is considered incremental. The announcement validates the geological model but does not change the fundamental risk profile or investment thesis until a bankable study is released.
Nevgold Corp. (NAU) is a pre-revenue junior exploration company focused on gold, antimony, and copper assets in Nevada and Idaho. The company’s flagship asset is the Limousine Butte Project in Nevada, a Carlin-style gold-antimony deposit featuring near-surface oxide mineralization amenable to leaching, with a strategic focus on establishing a domestic U.S. antimony supply chain.
Other assets include the Nutmeg Mountain gold project and the Zeus Copper Project in Idaho, as well as the Cedar Wash gold-silver project in Nevada. The company is in the exploration and development stage, with no revenue generated to date.
