Benz Announces High-Grade Gold Multiplies at Icon as New Hinge Zones Emerge
Benz infill hits multiple hinge zones with thick high-grade intersections confirming continuity at the project.

Benz Mining Corp. (BZ) has reported new infill and step-out drilling results from its Icon camp in Glenburgh, highlighting the discovery of NE-plunging high-grade hinge zones. The company states that systematic drilling at 50m x 25m spacing is revealing additional fold hinge zones and multiplying high-grade ounce potential within the existing footprint.
Key intercepts include: - 26CN079: 41m @ 14.5 g/t Au from 260m (including 35m @ 17 g/t Au) - 26CN064: 75m @ 2.3 g/t Au from 253m (including 56m @ 2.9 g/t Au) - 26CN074: 39m @ 3.6 g/t Au from 186m (including 8m @ 15.6 g/t Au) - 26CN073: 62m @ 2.5 g/t Au from 179m within 102m @ 1.7 g/t Au
Prior hits, such as 25m @ 16.53 g/t and 95m @ 4.3 g/t, are now being reinterpreted as part of the same hinge system.
Benz Mining Corp. (BZ) is currently in the explorer/pre-resource stage, with a maiden JORC resource targeted for the first half of 2027. The company’s Exploration Target already defines a large system, outlining 6.1‑7.3 moz in a higher-grade domain. With a market capitalization of approximately C$1.05B, the market has already attributed substantial value to the Glenburgh project.
New drilling results confirm that tighter drilling reveals additional high-grade ounces within the existing footprint, supporting the geological model and eventually the resource classification. However, these results do not materially change the overall scale or grade of the deposit. The Exploration Target already anticipated a high-grade core, and these infill holes deliver ounces in line with or slightly better than expectations.
The share price rallied from approximately $2.00 in April to $3.71 by late July before pulling back to $3.16.
Benz Mining Corp. is a gold explorer focused on Western Australia. Its flagship asset is the 100%-owned Glenburgh Gold Project, a large, bulk-tonnage gold system with three camps (Hurricane, Icon, Thunderbolt) covering a 12‑20 km mineralised corridor. The company also holds the Mt Egerton project in Western Australia, a narrow high-grade vein system with a small existing resource, and the Eastmain Gold Project in Quebec, which contains 1 moz at 6.1 g/t. The corporate objective is to deliver a maiden JORC resource at Glenburgh by H1 2027 and advance toward economic studies. Benz is well funded with ~C$81M cash as of April 30, 2026, and carries no debt.
