Fitzroy Minerals Intersects 111.9 m at 0.97% Cu from 21.1 m, Including 18.0 m at 1.59% Cu from 84.0 m at the Buen Retiro Copper Project, Chile
Fitzroy reports strong copper oxide grades at Buen Retiro from infill drilling, with no new zone expansion identified.

Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (FTZ) has released assay results from 15 diamond drill holes at the Tenorita zone of its Buen Retiro Copper Project in Chile. The most significant intercept came from hole BRT-DDH072, which returned 111.9 m @ 0.97% Cu from 21.1 m depth. This interval included three higher-grade sub-intervals: 19.0 m @ 1.50% Cu, 18.0 m @ 1.59% Cu, and 18.0 m @ 1.91% Cu.
Hole 70 returned 147.7 m @ 0.41% Cu with higher-grade portions up to 1.20% Cu, while other holes delivered similar broad but lower-grade intercepts. The company states the results confirm consistent shallow mineralization across ~300 m in the widest part of Tenorita.
Four rigs are on site, with the drill-out of Tenorita targeted for completion in August 2026 to support a resource estimate for a Pre-Feasibility Study, aiming for production in early 2028.
Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (FTZ) is advancing resource definition toward a Pre-Feasibility Study. The recent intercept represents infill drilling within a zone already known to host wide, shallow oxide copper. The market has been primed by a series of similar high-grade holes over the past months, including 110 m @ 1.94% Cu, 78 m @ 1.70% Cu, and 59 m @ 1.73% Cu.
The share price rallied on some of those releases but has since drifted back to the C$0.41 level as of July 22. The stock has been consolidating in a range between C$0.38 and C$0.44 for several weeks, suggesting the market has already priced in the expectation of good infill results.
This news does not introduce a new tier-one discovery, a major step-out, or a resource/reserve upgrade. It serves as a positive confirmation of grade continuity that supports the heap-leach development story.
Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (FTZ) is a Chile-focused copper explorer managing two primary projects. The Buen Retiro project is a near-surface oxidized copper-gold system being advanced toward a heap-leach SX-EW operation. A Pre-Feasibility Study and maiden resource are currently underway, with a production target set for early 2028. A partnership with Pucobre provides the company with access to a nearby processing plant.
The Caballos project is an early-stage porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold prospect where a large conductive anomaly has been identified and drill-tested. The company reported modest intercepts, including 176 m @ 0.47% CuEq. Extensive geophysics and follow-up drilling are planned for the site.
As of March 31, 2026, Fitzroy Minerals holds C$27.5 M in cash following a C$21.2 M private placement. The company has no debt and is in the exploration stage with no revenue. The stock trades on the TSXV and OTCQX.
