Aurion Reports the First Results from the Autumn Drill Program at Kaaresselka, Risti property

None

Executive Summary

Aurion Resources announced the first results from its autumn diamond drill program at the Kaaresselkä area, within its 100%-owned Risti property in Finland. The release covers five drill holes totaling 1,394.5 meters.

The highlight was drill hole KS25129, which intersected 10.35 meters (m) grading 3.72 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au). This intercept extends the known gold mineralization approximately 100 m deeper in the central part of the Vanha prospect. Other notable, though lower-grade, intercepts from the same hole include 5.65 m of 1.50 g/t Au. The remaining holes in the release returned multiple narrow, low-grade gold intervals.

The company noted that drilling is ongoing and results for over 20 additional holes are pending.

Material Impact

The news is incrementally positive but routine in the context of the company's exploration success throughout 2025. While extending the mineralization at depth by 100 m is a positive development for building potential tonnage, the headline intercept of 10.35 m of 3.72 g/t Au is less impactful than previous announcements.

  • February 2025: Reported 13.60 m of 7.92 g/t Au.
  • August 2025: Reported a wide, high-grade intercept of 32.55 m of 4.42 g/t Au, which was highly material and signaled bulk tonnage potential.

Compared to these prior results, the current intercept is good but not exceptional. It confirms the continuity of the system, which is important, but does not materially change the scope or grade profile of the discovery. The market has become accustomed to strong results from Kaaresselkä, and this release meets, but does not significantly exceed, those built-up expectations. The stock has already seen a substantial re-rating during the year, moving from a low of $0.58 to a high of $1.22 on the back of previous drilling. This news helps to consolidate those gains and support the current valuation, but it is unlikely to be a catalyst for another major move higher on its own. The market's attention will now shift to the results of the 20+ pending holes.
