Auranova and Kenorland Announce Geophysical Survey over the North Papa Gold Discovery at South Uchi, Ontario
Auranova targets the North Papa gold trend beneath glacial cover at its South Uchi project.

Auranova Resources Inc. (AURA) and partner Kenorland Minerals have commenced a 24 line-kilometre induced polarisation (IP) survey at the North Papa gold trend within the Papaonga target area of the South Uchi Project in the Red Lake District, Ontario. The survey aims to characterize the geophysical response to support future drill targeting beneath glacial cover, with a depth of investigation of approximately 760 m. The technical layout includes eight parallel 3 km lines spaced 250 m apart, oriented perpendicular to the North Papa mineralised corridor to image chargeability and resistivity trends.
This activity follows the June 17, 2026 announcement of Phase 3 drill results that identified the North Papa system, extending the Papaonga target footprint to ~7 km of strike length. Auranova has spent C$14.7 million in qualifying expenditures to date and will earn a 70% interest by spending an additional C$3.3 million.
Auranova Resources Inc. (AURA) has initiated an induced polarization (IP) survey, a planned follow-up to the drill results released on June 17. This activity aligns with the company’s stated Q3 2026 exploration roadmap and serves as a standard technical step to fingerprint alteration and sulphide mineralisation before defining the next drill program.
The announcement confirms the execution of the exploration plan rather than introducing a market-moving catalyst, with no new financial data, financing, or resource upgrades disclosed. The impact is incremental and routine, validating management's step-out strategy without altering the fundamental thesis.
Auranova Resources Inc. (TSXV: AURA) is a pre-revenue junior explorer advancing its 51% interest in the South Uchi gold property. The project is located in the Red Lake District, an under-explored region of the Confederation Assemblage volcanic rocks near the Uchi and English River subprovince boundary.
Phase 1 and 2 drilling identified a ~200 m wide gold-bearing structural corridor. Phase 3 (June 2026) discovered the North Papa intrusion-related gold system, characterized by quartz feldspar porphyry, intense hydrothermal alteration, and sulphide mineralisation. The system remains open along strike and at depth. Management compares the alteration style to the Great Bear deposit (Kinross Gold) and the Greenstone deposit (Equinox Gold).
